Don't Even Think About Talking To Me Until I've Had My Coffee || Naomi || Ch. 2 Body Drop

Meeting Kiryuu and Keiko on the way to the Cafe Regal had made for a pleasant start to the morning. Naomi had finished her morning jog through the park, and was eager to pick up her usual breakfast. A nice cup of coffee, and a slice of cherry pie. The motive meant she was on high alert most of the time, keeping her eyes and ears open for trouble (at least to a greater extent than normal), but the fact that this one didn't require a complete change to her schedule was appreciated. 

As the three walked to the cafe together, there was no immediate wrongness. Things felt alright, like any other morning; Kiryuu being in a chicken suit was an unfortunate, if pretty funny, circumstance, but Naomi felt no sense that something was about to go horribly, horribly wrong. Something to make Kiryuu's poultry problem seem paltry in comparison.

The smell came first, and Naomi immediately let any hopes of her regular breakfast with friends go. There was little hope of that, anymore. She followed her nose to the sight of Francois's body: more or less a stranger, but one she'd thought seemed kind enough through her limited interactions with him. She took off her hat, turning not far to see the second body. 

She knew Spydr even less than Francois, but this wasn't a matter of knowing people or not. Two more had died, and that was tragedy enough for her. Perhaps it would've been better if she expressed something beyond her initial shock. The bad taste from that first trial still lingered in Naomi's mouth, and now there would be a second one, over the death of two classmates. 

Naomi'd have all the time she needed to feel bad about it later. For now, she knelt down by Francois, immediately beginning her investigation of his injuries. There was work to be done.

Penguin Prayers || Ika || Ch 2 Bodies React

CW: Black eye

When Ika walks into the cafe to see the two bodies, he doesn’t react with surprise or terror. He looks a little bit sad, actually understanding just what in the world is going on this time it would seem, the blood seeming to clue him in this time. He makes a sad penguin noise. He thinks that Spydr’s body is arranged all nice at least. That was very nice of whoever did that.

“Aw, that’s sad… That was nice to put Ms. Spyder Spider like that though.”

Yeah, he’s also, very noticeably, sporting a black eye that’s still a bit swollen. Whoops. Looks sorta recent.

Before doing or saying anything else though, Ika decides to take the time as others begin to gather round and investigate to takes some very small rocks out of his pockets, pebbles he’s been collecting from this new area, and begins placing them around first Spypr, then Francois, in an oval around their bodies. And then he starts to kneel besides them, hands clasped in almost prayer.

“Thank you for making lots of nice drinks for people and giving Ika one, and thank you for being really pink and nice to Lily-san, Ika thinks. The end.”

He finishes off with a penguin call of mourning… And with that, he gets up, back to his normal penguin self, not looking too down at all now.

Envy || Kiku || Chp 2 Body Drop Reaction

“Fuck,” Kiku whines a few seconds after seeing both corpses. She had been wondering why the fuck someone would kill two people, and when she realizes the probable reason, she gets pissed off. “God dammit! What’s even the point of investigating then!?” she angrily yells while facing Kino or Asuta, whoever’s closest, her Kiku-scowl deepening as she realizes they’ve all been played. “A duo did this, didn’t they!? So with the motive, that means both killers can’t die!”

If a culprit’s partner is immune from being killed after the murder, and both partners kill someone, that means they have instant immunity for themselves, doesn’t it? That’s such fucking bullshit. It was borderline cheating! She’s so pissed she didn’t think of it before someone else could take advantage of it! Her and Keahi could be so much safer right now! “Motherfucker! Fuck the two of you who did this! Fuck!” She goes off to sulk in a corner, muttering obscenities the whole time.

Chikako, the moment she reaches her podium, votes. Then she looks around, confused why she might be getting odd looks. "...what? Just--do your trial thing, people. Lol, don't mind me."

This is Fine • Suzu • Body Reaction

Suzu had woken up much like how every other person on the ship found it. A body announcement, followed by following the sounds of unpleasant screaming. He lagged behind the crowd a little, but he still managed to make it to the scene of the crime. Even with his sight as it is, you could tell in an instant what had happened from the mess of pink replacing the figure's head. "Ghaaaaah!" It was more brutal than the last one. Suzu hoped, when he heard the announcement, that this wouldn't be the case, but his luck was apparently only for the pachiko parlor. "Excuse me?! Was one death not enough for you?" He walked up to Fukkatsu's lifeless body. He didn't want to get too close though, as the body seemed to have been here a while, as evident by the smell. He looked towards the corpse, and closed his eye. "Matsuoka-san... I'm... sorry I couldn't like... stop the bad evil dude from doing this... but I'll find out who did it! Don't worry, ok?" And with that, Suzu, a little shaken up by the memory of the scene, exited, stage right.

Gantz | Hachiro | Chapter 2 Body Reveal

 Hachiro heard the body reveal, but he himself didn't show up until much later on. When he finally stepped out from his bedroom, he looked pretty out of it, obviously he rushed from his room as best he could to see the body. If anything, he almost seemed relieved when he noted that the headless body was not someone he actually cared about. What, all two people? It was then he realized one of them was missing from the scene.

"Kotori?!"

 He spun around to try and find her, but found nothing. In a panic, he rushed down the hallway, looking for any sign of her.
