while leo snatched two more wins before the break, y/n was busy breaking records alongside her members. the group had just landed in ( random country ) and were on the way to their hotel, y/n was busy texting leo who was most likely back home in italy since the time zones aren’t far apart.
“we’re here” she quickly followed their leader out after shooting him a goodnight text and followed her into the hotel
“who’s paired up this time?” one of her members asked as they stood in the lobby
“we accidentally got some bookings wrong, so y/n you’ll have to share with me” their manager stated making her nod
“alright, just glad it’s not ( other manager )” said person gasped in offensive while some of their staff members laughed in agreement
“i’m not that bad!”
but everyone quickly disagreed making them scoff and stomp towards the elevator, which brought even more laughter.

y/n yawned as she unlocked the door and switched the lights on. their manager went to check the other girls first which she didn’t mind.
“ugh i’m so tired”
“really?”
y/n screamed so loudly that she’s pretty sure the entire country heard her.
“what the hell” she shouted making leo laugh loudly
y/n took a deep breath as leo grinned from his place.
“i thought you were in italy?” she said breathlessly
“i can go back home when i want, but i can’t see you a lot” he spoke and moved towards her
y/n felt her shoulders relax as leo wrapped his arms around her body.
“i missed you” she said quietly
“i missed you too”
distance has always been hard for them and sometimes they feel like it’s breaking them apart, but the couple have managed to work through it and prove that their love is stronger than the distance that keeps them separated.

the flight to qatar was a long one, but y/n managed. this would be the first race of his that she gets to see in person this year — y/n had originally planned to go to two others, but the company added more dates to the group’s world tour which made her unable to attend. she felt like such a terrible girlfriend, especially when leo surprised her on tour during his breaks.
but, now, it’s her turn to surprise him.
with the help of invicta ( who seemed to more excited than her ), she successfully avoided got into the paddock without being recognised. she breathed a sigh of relief and readjusted herself as the team went to get leo who was probably warming up.
this is such an important weekend to him and y/n knew that she couldn’t miss it. she was even willing to argue with her company and take a lashing from fans to miss a concert — all for him, her leo.
she placed a hand on her chest and turned around at hearing his voice and footsteps thudding up the stairs.
“why are you being so secretive? is this a prank or something because it’s a very bad one”
leo had his eyes on his team who were grinning with their phones out to record and turned to face what elaborate scheme they had cooked up, but froze at seeing y/n standing before him.
the couple were silent, slowly reeling in the fact that they were seeing each other again after so long apart.
leo stepped towards her quickly as y/n opened her arm allowing him to embrace her strongly. the team cooed at them, but neither heard, too wrapped up in each other's presences too care.
even if it felt like forever to anyone else, it only felt like seconds to them when they pulled away. leo gazed at her silently, still in disbelief that she's in his arms again
"how are you here?" he breathed out making her smile
"i couldn't miss you winning the championship"
"i haven't won it yet"
"you will"
y/n has always been confident in leo's racing abilities, and even when he lost she always found a way to make him believe in himself again. even when she's in a different country, a different time zone, or on stage, y/n always found a way to pull leo back into the light.
