✦: My muse was attacked but yours saved them- how’ll my muse ever thank them?

Connor curled up as the pain in his side radiated through his body. He felt like he had been shot, well he had but he never thought it would not hurt as much as it did. He could hear the human approaching as he tried to stand up but he had nothing left in him. Between shifting and the bullet in his side, he was not going anywhere. He saw the human and his gone out of his eye and tried to get away once more. Connor watched the gun lift once more, this time though, Connor knew he was not going to be able to avoid the shot again. He was going to die. He was going to die but at least maybe no one else would.

He closed his eyes, waiting to hear the sound of the hammer being pulled back but there was nothing. He opened his eyes slowly and watched the human in front of him fell to the ground. Connor couldn’t tell if he was dead or something else but he looked back up and saw Kaidan standing over the body.

“What are you doing here?” he asked, shifting so he could get off the ground a bit. It felt like something was tearing inside of him with each movement which only made him wince in pain. He could do this. He had to do this alone. Apparently he didn’t though as he felt a hand under his elbow help him stand up. “You can go now.”

Shut up Connor.

Connor narrow his eyes and tried to move away but he didn’t get very far before he felt Kaidan catch him.

Let me help you.

“I don’t need h—“

Seriously Connor. Shut up or I’ll make you.

Connor bit his tongue as he leaned onto Kaidan and closed his eyes as he stood up more and let Kaidan take him home.

#i swear they'll stay this way all night if people let them#if no one drags them apart#or if that game ever happens#they're just content and enjoying the party the way they see fit#with no one pushing them to be or say or act like anyone other than themselves. though i'm tempted for him to say something#i just think he's too happy bc he second guesses his words constantly

So you want Connor to interrupt them and say they are playing the game? Cause he will.
