A Prince we don’t deserve.
Prince Harry helps Captain Andrew Knisley of the Canadian Armed Forces during the cycling event at the Invictus Games in Sydney. Knisley lost his leg right leg to an IED in 2009.
8 years ago today I stepped on an IED and even before the dust settled back to the ground, I knew that my world had changed. From the moment I woke up blind in Bethesda I had two choices to 1) be angry, afraid and in-denial Or 2) Be accepting and understanding of the situation I was in because of the job I chose to do. Can you guess which was the best choice and which one would have gotten me nowhere? Make the most of what you have, work with it and not against it. Make peace and accept what cannot be changed, love and happiness will follow. SEMPER FI! 🙏🏽- Josue Barron (USA Invictus Athlete)
A fitting photo at the entrance of @bridgeclimb for our Aussie Invictus Games team today. This extraordinary young man has gone on to positively impact the lives of so many veterans. Thank you Patron and Founder of Invictus Games, HRH The Duke of Sussex Prince Harry #IG2018 (X)
