Introducing Abstract
He's an Image Comics/Invincible character I made up during a comic class for who didn't have plot or an origin for a minute so i didn't post him yet, and now...
Here I am with this
Plot And Lore Stuff:
The exact origin of Abstract is unknown. In fact, it's unknown if it's even a human.
It's presumed that they are male, seeing as they currently have the build of a male of average height.
It's speculated that there has been more than one Abstract. Every 10 or more years, Abstract disappears and returns with a different look. Some descriptions of the character were masculine, some were feminine looking, some were skinny, some were chubby, and so on and so forth.
They are unable to speak any known language, human or otherwise, but are able to write and use body language.
Along with this, it was confirmed that every Abstract, including the current one acted and behaved differently. Some did good, some's actions were... Questionable, bad some were just straight up evil.
While not confirmed, it's speculated by the GDA and other world governments that Abstract isn't the guy himself, but rather the suit. Or whatever is the cause of it's appearance (and it's true.)
The current host of the Abstract is highly presumed (by the GDA and Cecil Stedman) to be a male called Kyle Cage, a recently missing and presumed dead latin-american, 19 years of age
Personality:
As I've stated before, each Abstract had a different personality and the current one is no exception. On the surface he's creepy, but that's because he didn't have many friends growing up, making himself isolated most of his life and closed away his feelings from others.
Despite this, Kyle is sweetheart to the end. Granted, at the start, he was using the suit and it's powers to protect himself, but ultimately, he ended up using his powers to protect others.
Throughout the entire history of the mysterious character, Kyle is the first and so far the only one who was able to speak to the suit. So speaking to himself all those years really did pay off.
Powers And Abilities (sorry for shit image quality):
The Abstract's main ability is low tier cartoon character reality warping
What I mean by that is that he's basically able to do things that Bugs Bunny can do in Looney tunes, but on a much, much smaller scale
Basically anything from becoming a sticker on the wall to evade being seen, to wrapping his arms around people like Spinel from Steven Universe the movie
(yes I know those are her legs, but you get the point.)
So far, this is the extent of Abstract's powers, and these are the same powers that all the other Abstract's had throughout history (I might do more with Kyle's powers, but so far that's pretty much it).
Reference Sheet:
I'm still playing around with the art style and his design, but so far this is the main look and the pattern, while a bit simple, I wanted to keep that abstract part of the character, but he ended up looking more like 80s fashion (not that I mind it, it's awesome and I love myself for it).
Bonus Round:
Remember my first Invincible OC, Flashlight? Well, I figured I might have her and Kyle be friends. And the moment Kyle mysteriously disappears and heads off to Rebbeca for help, this is the scene that unfolds:
(sure this was an excuse to do a meme redraw but I like it too much)
Anyway, thoughts?
