Katie speaks about Nadine Bommer’s method: Nadine's technique involves genuine energetic connection, which may be discovered through movement direction, rhythm, or through passageways, moving energy from one body part to another. There is zero decorating and stylizing with this technique; it is simply discovered by listening to the energy that already exists. This practice is the foundation of the Nadine Bommer movement, with "Animato" being a second, very crucial, aspect to understanding the entire movement language. "Animato" is an art form in itself, in my opinion, which allows the dancers to transform into an animated character of any sort, really, whether it be a dog, a marionette, a lamp, or in this case, a male soccer star. This aspect of Nadine's movement must also be very genuinely done, and without the sincerity and honesty behind the experience it just will not be what it can be, and what it's meant to be.
