In Chinese mythology, it is said that there is an invisible red cord around the hands of those that are destined to meet one another... the two people connected by the thread of destiny are destined lovers, regardless of place, time, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break. In Greek mythology, Theseus has to slay the half-man, half-beast monster that King Minos kept deep within a labyrinth. He finds his way out of the maze by following a golden thread given to him by his lover Ariadne.
