I went through your book list (which is great, btw, thank you!) and I didn't see Song in the Silence by Elizabeth Kerner. It's part of a trilogy called Tales of Kolmar & has several dragons as POV characters and are the protagonists of the series. The first book might be a little hard to get through, but the 2nd & 3rd are so worth it.

I heard about the ilness, too. It's really sad. I do hope that he's able to get better. Yeeeah. That's one reason I haven't gotten into it. I don't want to be sad, like how I was with D.N. Angel and it's permanent hiatus. ;^;

I heard that it’s such a great story. Like Yu Yu Hakusho, but ten times better. Sadly the hiatuses happen because the author loves DBZ games and the recent one came out and that’s what he’s been doing, far as I know. xD
yeeeees that’s why i wanted to try. i heard its bc the mangaka is ill tho? and it’s such a successful series that the hiatuses are permitted by the editor or something. god the hiatuses are cray tho like it can go on a year without updating. that will drive me nuts omf lmfao
