Vincenzo out of context:
isn't it interesting though that Vincenzo was characterised as a cat in Italy but the metaphoric animal for him in Korea is a pigeon??? like these two parts of himself are quite different, one is a solitary hunter the other is more of a flock animal, (who can be hunted)? A cat would kill, but a pigeon inconveniences more than anything
half of the vincenzo fandom: okay no SEE like obviously cha young's going to get out of this situation using her brains and vincenzo will do this to get them out and what id he uses this tactic and maybe that could draw a parallel to this that happened in episode 10-
the other half:
I N Z H A G I !
how it started vs how it’s ending
The man named the pigeon outside his window how is this a cold-blooded mafia killer skdjsjd
The Pawn shop couple's baby ("theory")
I might be unto something (but probably I am not, do not worry)
So, you might all remember that amidst all the pain that episode 16 brought to us, we also learned that the pawn shop couple is having a baby!!!!!
(Also take a minute -or some hours- to appreciate the Geumga Plaza family, they are too precious)
And while almost crying from the wholesomeness of it all, an idea came running to my head: Nonethless, isn't it a bit weird to bring in such a subplot at this moment in the series? I mean we have only 4 episodes left and things are purposefully only getting darker in order to culminate to the "big 3rd act showndown" at this point. Certainly this a set up to the characters 'epilogue' in this story, but why a baby of all things?
But then it hit me - and please do bare with me on this one, I believe it to be worth the while. (And please also excuse my atrocious writing, I've (truly) never written anything of sorts before)
There is a ceiling full of adhesive glow-in-the-dark stars.
A baby is heard crying just beneath it, and the pawn shop couple comes rushing into the room (of course the loudness of the tenants throwing a party would eventually wake the baby up).
Meanwhile, a figure lurks unnoticed just behind them. Well, a very small one at least.
- "Yu-chan! You nearly gave your father a heart attack!"
The kid just giggles. Mr Nam appears right at this moment, running to catch the boy at their feet.
The couple gives him a pointy look.
- "It's not my fault I couldn't hold him down, your kid has freakishly heavy hands for a 3-year-old." he rants exasperated.
The baby cries again, and Yu-chan, as eloquently as a child of his age can manage, asks:
-"Is there something wrong with Gyeongja?"
- "No my darling, she was probably just alarmed by the noise." his mother answers softly, patting his head.
- "Or she wants her parents." Mr Ahn interferes.
- "Since when are you here?" Chul-wook exclaims, having his second fright of the minute.
-"Stealth is my middle name."
-"You don't have a middle name. None of us do."
-"It is called a figure of speech."
-"A what?" Chul-wook asks, genuinely confused.
His wife snorts at his high-pitched voice and picks Gyeongja up, musing quietly about the fact that for all the genes that she has, the child is actually surprisingly calm (it must be perhaps all that opera her father puts her through on the daily).
- "Shouldn't her parents already be here anyway?" Mr Nam asks over her shoulder, clearly fed up with the talk of the other two.
- "Let them be late, it is the first time they get some time all for themselves since this little cutie was born anyway".
An uproar is heard from the kitchen, and Yeo-jin is able to pick out Cha-young's delighted laughter between it all.
At the corner of her eye, she catches a flash of her son running out of the room and towards the noise, Chul-wook at his heels.
Yeo-jin can't help but giggle, and the baby in her arms beams back at her.
"Mr and Mrs. Corn salad sure are popular, huh."
And you can tell me, 'you are overthinking this', because, well fair.
But if you do tell me that the writers would not set up a little point just to surprise us, even if only for a punch-line, may I remind you all of:
THE REAL HERO OF THE DAY!!
Ok, so i’m super worried and anxious about our favorite mafia show coming to an end, my hopes and expectations about the ending are going beyond the sky, thus i fully trust the writer and can’t wait for the last plots to be revealed i don’t know what to wait.
(Actually still don’t get over of how they did solve the gold issue such a witty writing right there and I loooove it).
The fact that the production got delayed to weeks and probably much of what we’re going to see this weekend it was filmed the past week is making me crazyyyyy kind of
did they change something?
they were going super restrictive to prevent spoil anything, what does that mean?
what are they hiding? is it because is gonna be a season two? or is it that a bye-bye balloon trip is something impossible to hide so they went like super secretive about that?
Also if it’s not too much too ask pls don’t kill Han Seo, neither Mr Cho or any of the Geumga tenants im not afraid of uri Vin cuz at this point we all know it’s pretty obvious he’s invincible right?
If the finale is not like two hours long i’m gonna be mad like real mad. Even tho imo i’m happy cuz we get to see how all the characters got a nice-to-watch development and the presence of none of them was wasted, ep17 is the proof of that. Only for that im not complaining for the lack of screen time uri chayoung had this past episodes iykwim i’m longing to see a decent amount of my girl awesomeness for the further ones.
Speaking of the cencha power…there’s literally no waaaay they just showed us all those -fully charged with lovely looks + amazing chemistry- scenes to those two just not ending together like COME ON (there’s no way) have we been watching the same show? cuz i saw the “vicenzo cassano falls in love with chayoung” (and viceversa) written all over the show and istg they don’t give us that amount of stares, meaningful quotes, playfulness and the "i got ur back and u got mine" dynamic all for nothing. Not to say im a sucker for all the symbolism stuff which pretty much kept me alive these days and I'm gonna miss tons when it ends.
So I'm rooting for all we’ve been waiting for through the 18 episodes its on its way to be real in the conclusion 19-20.
I’M AIMING FOR A LOT MR WRITER AND PRODUCTION TEAM im really fond of all these characters now so please make them justice🙏
Damn i really needed to speak my mind even more after that freaking handshake got on my nerves but srsly i can’t wait.
So im going to calm tf down since this drama has been a delightful surprise and I'm plenty sure is going to end the same way.
