Tyler- “It’s beautiful!  The light from the lighthouse!!

It was so bright it was almost blinding to them as they continued to walk up the wooden walkway to the front door.

Myra- “That light has not been for years! It’s amazing that tonight of all nights, it works again!!”

Iona - “It’s a sign, I know it. The light has returned!!”

Tobias- “Life has returned to the island. Light has returned to the bay. The darkness and pain is gone. And it’s all because of you Tyler.”

Tyler- “No, it’s not me. It was fate Tobias. It was meant to be. The lighthouse has returned because of love has come to this place. When it shines it will send out this light to everyone that can see it, and let them know that darkness can not win. We don’t have to live in the shadows. The hate, the revenge, the pain...all of it has disappeared because of the light.

Tobias- “This light will forever represent our love. Because of your love towards me, I can now live in the light. ~

THE END ~

Iona- “i will listen, but it is NOT going to change my mind. Tobias, you are not of this world!  You have brought darkness to this Island and if you don’t go and leave Tyler be, we are going to...”

Tyler- “Going to do what? Iona?  Take a stake to his heart. Burn him with garlic? He is a vampire, but all those old stories....they are not true.  Please hear him out.”

Tobias proceeds to tell his mortal story to Iona and Myra. About meeting Charles, and how Pierce found him on the beach, when he was almost going to end his own life. Then he told them about what Pierce had done to young Lilah, and how he felt responsible for everything.

Iona- “Oh, my goodness!!! That is terrible!  Poor Charles and Lilah...and you....”

Tobias- “I can change things Iona.  I mean I can not bring Charles and Lilah back, but I can remove the curse that Pierce put on me. But before I do, I need to know something, from you and Myra?”

Iona- “What?”

Tobias- “I need you to believe that I am not here to hurt anyone, especially Tyler. I want your consent and blessing to do this.  If not then I will go, and continue living as I have and leave Tyler here with you to live his life without me.”

Tyler- “NO!!”

Iona- “No, Tobias, Tyler is right. You need this second chance.  You need to be able to live the life you should have before Pierce stripped it from you.”

Tobias- “Okay, then it’s settled.  We need to go to the Mansion in Forgotten Hollow and get the elixir.”

Tyler- “So this is it?”

Tobias- “Yes. I will drink the rest of it.”

Iona- “I can’t wath this...what if...”

Tyler- “It will work.  It has to work!”

Tobias took the bottle and drank it’s contents.

After finishing the elixir, Tobias fell to the floor. His body convulsed and then he laid there still, as if he were dead. Tyler fell to his knees next to his lifeless body.

Tyler- “I don’t know if praying will help, but I don’t know what to do!”

Myra- “I think he is breathing, Tyler!!”

They made the trip to Forgotten Hollow, it was well past midnight when they arrived.  The mansion had sat empty for over 75 years, but Pierce, resting place was still intact. 

Myra- “Is he in there?”

Tobias- “No, I destroyed him. This was my crypt after he was gone.  When Charles died I moved to the cellar at the lighthouse.

Iona- “So this elixir, is it here, are you sure it will work?”

Tobias- “It’s here...as far as it working, I do not know for sure. Tobias had said that it was given to him by his maker centuries ago, and it’s power came from a powerful witch. She created it to cure her daughter. It worked then, I hope it still has it’s power....”

Tyler- “And if not?”

Tobias- “Then I will have to remain as I am, or it may destroy me. So if it cures me or kills me, either way I will finally be free. It’s the only hope I have, Tyler. You have given that hope to me.”

Myra- “Then drink the damn elixir!!”

Iona- “Why are you here.  Why are you wanting to do this to Tyler.  He has done nothing to you. He is not Charles!!”

Tyler- “Iona-, please, sit down listen to what Tobias needs to say.  You will understand.  He is not a monster!  He is a victim of circumstances, and we can help him!”

Tobias arrived at Myra & Iona’s apartment building before they ever arrived, and when the did show up, Tobias was ready...

Tobias- “Myra, you can hear me, you will no longer suspect me, or question me. Do you hear me?”

Myra- “Yes...I do.”

Tobias- “you will convince Iona, that I am not threat to Tyler or to either of you.”

Myra - “Yes, I understand.”

Suddenly Tobias began to move, and pulled himself from the floor...Tyler begins to sob.

Myra- “Did it work?”

Iona- “How will we know?”

Tobias- “I know.”

Myra- “Okay, so how do you know?”

Tobias- “The constant hunger is gone. The pain is gone. My heart....it is beating as it did when I was mortal. It has worked....”

They pulled Tobias up and helped him out of the mansion and they made their way back to the Island and to the Lighthouse.

As they approached the back of the Island they saw it!

Iona- “You don’t need to go with me, Myra. He will be fine. I know you don’t want to go out there, with those Monsters...”

Myra- “Don’t patronize me, Iona. The things that have gone on out there are not just stories.  But if you are going I am going with you.  There is no way I am going to let the one person I love more than life itself go into harms way alone.”

Iona- “I love you too, but I will be okay, really.”

Myra- “I am going!!”

Iona- “Okay then, we need to get dressed and get out to the ferry before it leaves.  Another one doesn’t come until two.”
