Guys, I got surprised today, there’s only one week left until christmas!
A good reason to spread some love.
As you all have recognized, there has been a lot of hate around here these last days and weeks. I got to know the Il Volo Fandom as a peaceful one a few months ago and I was really surprised, pleasently I have to say, that there was so much love around!
But those attacks that are happening right now are the worst thing ever. As many of you already have stated, this has to stop! It’s not only a behavior I would only expect of preschoolers, but exact the behavior that leads to so much sorrow and harm in this world.
All of us, the IlVolovers, should stand together. We all love the boys equally and we should make sure they know of our support.
Now, there’s another thing I want to say. Especially Gianluca takes the comments on his posts on Instagram and Twitter seriously. In my opinion, it’s a immense injustice that he feels the need to delete his photos with Martina again because of the hate he gets for them. That boy is in love, for god’s sake, it’s his hapiness some people are destroying and over all, it’s not our business. He deserves to be happy and to be left in peace.
The boys share moments of their personal lives with us, they do it because they want to and we love it. What if that would stop? What if we only saw them on stage and in interviews. They are really generous and we should not exploit that generosity by sending hate or disturbing their privacy.
@ignaziosearring and @runningawayfromwhoweare talked already about giving the boys, especially Gian, something back. The idea is a set of photos, selfies of us, showing them our support. Maybe a little message or maybe we could use a special tag or something to show them that we have their backs. It’s not much, I know, but maybe it will make them feel more positive about the fandom.
I would love it if that really became a thing. We all love them and they should know that. If anybody has any ideas, feel free to express them, reblog, a message, anything.
I know, all this sounds really pathetic but I think with a project like this we can show some love to the boys and to each other too!
