My iPega 9069 Game Controller Review w/ my UGREEN USB Bluetooth Adapter (Recorded Video) - Part 12 (Final) [Feb 27, 2021]

Here’s my “Final Part” of my former used iPega 9069 wireless controller.🎮😊 Now originally I was gonna make another part review topic of my UGREEN USB Bluetooth Adapter, but I want to do some change around. And despite that I made this part finale, is because I’m recently use my trusty 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ gamepad as my “new” primary wireless controller over my old iPega. 

But first things first, I would like to apologize for being inactive my main tumblr blog. I’m now mainly focus on my secret blog account, and I have a tons of it; even thing I would refuse to show ya, because it’s exclusively to my “trusted” closes friends. Not only that but also other stuff too that I won’t share ya because it’s MY BUSINESS. I haven’t continue my ongoing review topics such a this, so I’ll try to finish these once and for all until I move on to the next.😌

So nevertheless, let’s go back to my recent topic....

Now in this final part, I’m attempt to connect my old and former wireless controller, the iPega 9069 wireless controller using my usual USB Bluetooth Adapter from the UGREEN brand on my Windows 10 PC and let see how it performs from all different game emulators on my digital folder and also PC games (namely two GTA games).

*But before that, I want YOU… Yes you, which you’re reading my description. I want you to watch my recorded video first 📹📲 (as a observation) before you read the rest of my reaction experience. Hope you’re watching…

BTW: I use CloudConvert [CLICK ME!] once again, to tone down the video record size from the original. It may have different video quality but at least you can watch and see what I’m doing.🙂

So without further ado, let’s get started:

My Experience: • (Now as you already done watching video.) I’m doing the same thing as I did to my current wireless game controller the 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ 🎮, so I don’t need to explain the same procedure and I’ll be target on other parts of my recorded (converted) video.📹📲

• Unlike my current 8bitdo gamepad where I need to press specific buttons, I only pressed the home button on the top part of my former used iPega (9069) gamepad; continuing pressing however, and it’ll automatically pairing/searching a new device. And once that I’m adding a new Bluetooth device through my Windows 10 PC and connect it anyways 🖥️📶🎮. My former iPega gamepad  (connection name “PG-9069″) didn’t recognize as a gamepad icon but rather a mouse & keyboard icon 🎮➡️⌨️🖱️, weird but it’s connected nonetheless.

• Now as I go to the gamepad tester website [CLICK ME!], all the physical buttons and triggers are perfectly functional including the mouse touchpad built-in, not to mention that I’m D-Input mode because I’m in wireless connection. Except however the “turbo” and “macro” buttons which is didn’t present the button test; at least I didn’t use it, after all more or less. I’m a little concern about the D-pad, and yes I’ve already covered this issue before so let me ya, it didn’t very well... Sure it works just fine but it becomes wear off 😕 after I over press and it became harder than before. And that’s why I’m so hard to earn some money to get a higher worthy wireless controller with my recent 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ gamepad. Damn I really love the D-pads from SN30 Pro+, all thanks to the retro style D-pad mechanism from the 80′s and it  never fails on every game genres.😊

•Anyways I tried all emulator games I have on my Windows 10 PC and everything is a okay, albeit in a mapping settings on different emulator(s). 🖥️🎮 The current ePSXe version 2.0.5  (Sony PlayStation 1 emulator) however, it wasn’t.🙁 Why? Well I’m having trouble on mapping controls, it didn’t recognize though. I even try to restart my Windows 10 PC and it didn’t effect at all. On the other hand the old ePSXe version 1.7.0 is surprisingly recognize my former iPega controller, it’s no wonder that the version 2.0.5 didn’t so lucky on my Windows 10 PC (unlike my old former Lenovo laptop) and it needs an update patch in the future.

•The ePSXe ver. 2.0.5 wasn’t the only one that has a problem, both standalone GTA San Andreas and GTA V Online are also have a same unrecognize controller problems using my former iPega controller.🙁 The only thing did work on both GTA SA and V Online was the mouse touchpad and that’s it. But will I use it during my gameplay? Well nope, it only works on the menu/pause menu.  And speaking of touchpad, the upper part had already malfunction when I use my single finger to drag, meaning using the touchpad from my former iPega gamepad was utterly useless.😕

Overall: • With my 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ gamepad as my currently use gamepad, well I have to say that my old used iPega controller is now put in the box where it belongs. Although, I did browse on the official iPega website to check more information about the 9069 wireless controller and I’m surprise that there is a update software for that specific controller [CLICK ME!].😯🖱️ However it turns out that it says “upgrade version support direct play PUBG on Android device”📲 [CLICK ME!], and that’s pretty much it. Yeah well I’m NOT a huge fan and/or interest of battle royale games so I’ll just ignore it. I’m happy with my SN30 Pro+ gamepad from 8bitdo connecting through my UGREEN USB Bluetooth Adapter to play any games without noticing issues at all.😊🎮

My iPega 9069 Game Controller [9/4/19] - Part 11

I’m back for another part of my iPega 9069 wireless / wired controller.🎮 😊

Just to refresh from the previous back in June 5th of this year, I discuss a topic on issuing the touch pad which is strange that did not aligned properly so now it’s completely fix. But nevertheless it is time to discuss my latest topic here…

So when I opened the game and my controller is on wireless mode it did not work at all, so it turns out that the NO$Zoomer (and/or NO$GBA ) -  a Nintendo DS Emulator did not support wireless controller unlike my other emulators I’ve been tested including MAME (a arcade emulator) so I have to go ‘wired mode’ using the inclusion micro USB cable and connected to the laptop/computer as you can see my two photos mapping the buttons. And yes I played Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow (BTW: I’ve already done the story mode campaign a long year ago). After I set a mapped buttons it did work well when I played, but when I try to reset the game or leave for a few minutes it did not work - means I can’t press anything with my controller so I have to re-plug it to work. Although that’s all my experience and I’m not sure If I could play more on the NDS emulator because it seems that I have nothing to interest as of now…

Another thing I discovered was the touch pad’s malfunction. By touch softly with my thumb the arrow cursor is going crazy when I unplugged the type A USB plug connector with the micro USB leaving connected -  even when I removed the micro USB from the controller it’s the same malfunction result. So in order to solve the problem I quickly turned power off and turn back on with the home button or at least press the controller’s reset button using my sim ejector tool (from my Honor 8C) and power on with the same home button, hopefully I won’t do that again though or else my controller and the touch pad is completely useless.

So yeah, that’s all I could say now, and hopefully I could make a verdict as my final part very very soon. Will it happened - but we’ll see…

My iPega 9069 Game Controller [6/5/19] - Part 10 [Phase 2]

Time for another part of my new controller the iPega 9069 once again. And yes, it’s been a while since April when I record a video of press button test via HTML5 Gamepad Tester. 🎮 😊

Nevertheless, let’s move on. I continued on…

But first; [on 12th, 16th and and 17th images] It seems very empty on the inside while on the top was a circuit board [on image 14th to 16th images] for the touch pad and flat connector through the motherboard inside the controller, wow. Now back to the problem, on the 16th image there’s no lock gap on the side, unlike the other side it has [on the 12th image]. So that’s why It can’t flat out perfectly for the touch pad, it’s just doesn’t have a locked gap mechanism to make perfectly secure. So what should I fix this problem? Well [on 8th,9th and 10th and 11th images] I tried to aligned fit before I press on before I doing a medium force - although I have to be careful not to damage the touch pad or else it becomes useless. The result was it didn’t work at all.. And after I tried few times I guess I’ll just let leave without damaging inside (although I already did with some medium scratch) because ehhh *shrug* I guess that’s what it is… [on the 18th Image] albeit eventually gonna rise up but I guess there’s nothing I could fix forever. All well...

So yeah, that’s all I could say now….

My iPega 9069 Game Controller [6/5/19] - Part 10 [Phase 1]

Time for another part of my new controller the iPega 9069 once again. And yes, it’s been a while since April when I record a video of press button test via HTML5 Gamepad Tester. 🎮 😊

Nevertheless, let’s move on.

Now umm I have a little bit issue since the beginning of using this wireless controller in April.[on 1st image]  I’m a little concern about the part of the touch pad, it doesn’t perfectly flat / won’t fudge perfect fit in a awkward sleight position but surprisingly it function when I played. So now I’m a little curious to see and have to fix this little problem. So originally I was gonna used a mini phillips screwdriver but I’m simply refused after I screw a few mini screw bolts, [on 2nd and 3rd images] until when I used a sim card - [on 4th to 9th images] I could easily pop-up the touch pad with my bit force. So once I lift opened, I could see now the problem…

My iPega 9069 Game Controller [3/23/19] - Part 3

Time for another part of my new controller the iPega 9069.🎮 😊

1st and 2nd Images: • Once again to recap, we’ve look at my controller was a carbon copy of the Xbox 360/One (Elite) controller. But unlike the original one, the iPega 9069 has a touch screen and two buttons below; on the left is the ‘Turbo’, while on the right is the ‘Macro’.

•Now I’d be honest I’ve never used ‘Turbo’ and ‘Macro’ button, ever since I tried once. The ‘Turbo’ mode is very easy to me, unlike the ‘Macro’ mode is confusing; even though I read the instructions carefully. But nevertheless, bottom-line I don’t really those two.  There’s also a video on how to used ‘Turbo’ and ‘Macro’ function.↓

3rd Image: •Here you can see on the top three buttons are ‘Select’, ‘Home’ and ‘Start’. I’d be honest though, I sometimes accidentally moving the cursor arrow on the small part of the touch pad  just want to reach the pressing start button (as a pause button) using my right thumb. And it requires to hard press unlike my old Logitech F310 wired controller’s start button, which is a soft press. And despite the top button layouts of the iPega 9069, I need to be practice (I guess).

4th Image: •Here you can see the shoulder and trigger buttons really reminiscences of the Xbox 360 / One (Elite) Controller. With 25% layout letters of the traditional Sony PlayStation’s dualshock controller; L1, R1, L2 and R2. On the center was a LED indicator (on the right), which also a function as a Charge/Sleep mode (after 5 minutes) /Wake up (when it press a home button and automatically reconnect via Bluetooth),  and a Micro USB female socket for charging the controller and connecting through PC/Laptop for a Xinput controller - when it connects a twin vibration motors was access, instead of the touch pad (via connecting bluetooth). So yeah it’s fairly trade of, and I like it.

5th and 6th Images: • Aside from the built-in touch pad,one of the unique features for the iPega 9069 was the ‘limit trigger switch function’. There’s a instruction manual on how to use, so I’ll explain my own, I’m not gonna copied type from the instructions. Here there are two types to switch; (on the left) a long switch - which is a traditional trigger long hold between 0 - 100, and (on the right) a short switch -  a shortened trigger hold between 60 - 70. Kinda like the same as a shoulder buttons when I pressing it. I tried numerous times on playing different games and it worked well. Really useful though.

7th Image: •Finally on the side bottom of the controller are wireless connect switch of which modes you desire. So there are four modes to choose (from left to right); HID Mode (Gamepad) - pairing for Android, Smart TV and Windows OS (supports XP,7,8 and 10) [NOTE: If you want to play more games on all related Android OS functions, scan the QR Code from the manual / download “Chick Simulator” on the Google Play Store - although I haven’t tried that), which I’m now using it, Keyboard/Mouse Mode - pairing for Android and Android TV/Box, iCade Mode pairing for iOS (iPad /iPhone) and finally New Game Mode (in a form of X) pairing for Jail-Break iOS devies - although sadly the touch pad was not support for iCade and New Game Mode. Yeah bummer for iOS users, so you might stick to leave it or buy your own gamepad taste.

My iPega 9069 Game Controller [4/6/19] - Part 5

Time for another part of my new controller the iPega 9069 once again.🎮 😊

Now here’s the telescopic clamp stand test with my two current samsung smartphones - on the left was the Galaxy S4 [GT-i9505] and on the right was the Galaxy S Duos 2 [GT-S7582].

The result was very fit well and it won’t come off, even without their case is the same result. Nothing much to explain so yeah. And still I’m planning on playing mobile games on my Galaxy S4 smartphone.

BTW: I’m actually used my mom’s Apple iPhone 5 which gave from her related aunt and server as my mom’s first apple gadget.📱 😊

My iPega 9069 Game Controller [4/22/19] - Part 9

Time for another part of my new controller the iPega 9069 once again. This time to tested up with HTML5 Gamepad Tester via Wired using the included USB cable. And probably my final part of my review. 🎮 😊 

- Testing -

•Now same goes to the wireless mode, it work pretty well. Actually much better than the wireless on the responded button layouts; including the macro and turbo buttons are questionable functional although I don’t need it when I playing games. 

• Also like I said before, the touch pad won’t work unless if you’re in wireless. So for a trade in wired mode, a twin vibration motor is now functional avail.

•Now remember what I said that the iPega 9069′s analog sticks have a bit deadzone problem in wireless mode? Yeah. But when I connecting wired, well it worked. And for that I’m so glad. BUT I’d still prefer the Logitech F310′s analog sticks over the iPega 9069, in terms of sizable analog sticks; and i’m more of a Sony PS Dualshock holder than a Xbox 360/One controller. Also the Logitech F310′s analog sticks are 100% no deadzones at all than the iPega 9069 which is roughly 95% (I guess).

- Play Performance -

• Much like in wireless mode, it worked pretty well when I played emulator games after I set up the mapping config layouts [SNES, NES, GBA and Genesis emulators]. But unlike other emulators however, ePSXe [PS1 emulator] supports X Input controller when I plug in and changed the settings so I don’t need to mapping the layouts; It’s like simple plug & play. Now on to the playing GTA San Andreas - same doing mapping controls as the four emulators I did, but unfortunately the trigger buttons did not support when I played this (masterpiece) open world game. And it’s kinda strange though, I used my old Logitech F310 controller and set on the X Input mode and it worked well especially the trigger buttons, the iPega 9069′s trigger buttons however it did not - and that’s a very bummer. So at least it worked on the wireless mode, which is a good thing.

Overall in wired mode, it’s a same responsive as the wireless mode; although far better than wireless. But with some switching modes for other emulators. I’ll be using in wireless for GTA San Andreas and also in ePSXe, but don’t worry I’ll tried in wired as well. As for other emulators I picked, well it depends on my mind.

So yeah, that’s all I could say now. And hopefully soon I’ll get to the true final review part.😉

My iPega 9069 Game Controller [3/18/19] - Part 1

So  you’ve seen my video already, right?

Well, meet my brand new game controller - the iPega 9069 Wireless Controller with Touch Pad. 😁🎮

So when I opening it the box and pop up the main item controller it feels neat. Although it’s plastic material but hey, get used to it. It’s an awesome promising controller to say. The design was a 100% carbon copy of the Xbox One Controller or the Elite Controller version to be precised. But unlike the true original Xbox One controller, this 9069 model has a touch pad which right at the center - that’s one of the unique features in this controller. Also other accessories like (please look 6th and 7th Image) : (on the left) A manual (just in case you need it) ,(on the center) a telescopic stand attach for attaching the smartphone (horizontally) , and (on the right) a Micro USB cable for charging and connecting the computer / laptop.

So, when I tried to connect both USB wired and wireless via Bluetooth it worked flawless, with some traded features.

• Connecting wired via USB - a motor vibration is access (Also identifies as XBOX 360 Controller for Windows)

• Connecting wireless via Bluetooth - a touch pad is access (Both PC and Android)

I decided to go wireless over connecting USB wired for a test run, and it work flawlessly with all the buttons without any severe input lag / dead zones using HTML Gamepad Tester - CLICK ME . Also the touch pad itself was 100% functional, although it’s difficult to maneuver with my right thumb (not comparing to the built-in laptop counterpart using my right index finger ); but I might get to it right.

NOTE: For a wireless bluetooth connecting access, I need to press home as a power button then press B button together and it’ll starts blinking fast, which it’ll searching a device to connect. Yeah I told ya a instruction manual could be helpful.😉  As you can see my 9th image, the 4 letter buttons are staying lit. Which means the wireless connect was successful.

Seems I’m so satisfied with my newly controller! So as my beloved Paper Dolls.😁

Sorry I couldn’t chance to make an comparison with my old Logitech F310. But don’t worry though, that’s gonna be saved for another part. So, stay tuned for that. 😉
