Install IPFire on APU.3C4
download IPFire Flash Image “ipfire-2.21.2gb-ext4.x86_64-full-core127.img”
download tinycore for BIOS Update https://pcengines.ch/tinycore.htm
download latest APU BIOS (4.9.0.2) https://pcengines.github.io/
Install Tinycore on USB Stick
copy Firmware to stick
boot stick and update firmware using “flashrom”
Write IPFire Flash image to mSATA (using USB Adapter)
boot mSATA
edit grub config, append “console=ttyS0,115200n8”
run initial install
log in check /etc/defaults/grub for:
GRUB_SERIAL_COMMAND="serial --unit=0 --speed=115200"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="panic=10 console=ttyS0,115200n8"
save, update grub using “grub-mkconfig > /boot/grub/grub.cfg”
