This is Frankie making a small bid for balcony freedom. We only let her out with a harness on, because ducks settle on the balcony wall, and we don’t want to her to have an accident when caught up in the thrill of a hunt. But she’ll come to the patio door when I’m outside, and if I have the door fully closed, she’ll sit on the inside step, right where the door closes. But she’s very good, and steps away when I’m coming back in. She knows we won’t allow her out unless she’s totally safe out there.
This is her innocent face. She’s saying, “Go on the balcony? Who, me? Noooo, I’m just waiting for you to come back in because I miss you. I don’t want to go and chase the ducks. Honest.” Sure, kitty. Sure you don’t. ;-)
