Two nights a week I tutor a lovely bunch of 7-10 year olds while their parents learn English. They finish their homework pretty quick though, and I love sharing my love for arts and things with them. Today I taught a girl all about my favorite app for drawing and painting in my #iphone art #iphonedrawing #iphonepainting . They have also fallen in love with #origami, which I will tell you more about later but it was a HUGE part of my childhood joy. I would sit for hours and HOURS figuring out figures and all of this was sparked by a visit to the Orogami Christmas tree at Japan airlines on 5th Avenue as a kid. thirdly, we did YOGA and had SUCH a blast with it!!!!! Finally, I bring in a ball of twine and my favorite Cat’s Cradle (and other string games From all around the globe) book- it has the most gorgeous photography and I spent so many happy hours as a kid figuring out / learning new string figures from this absolutely gorgeous book #catscradle #stringgames #yogaforkids #learnthroughplay #beakid https://www.instagram.com/p/B8NOmgxg9jk/?igshid=1vhsc9r2vhl7o

Aaron Scheer’s FINAL_007 (02) first solo exhibition in the UK, was reviewed on Artlyst. The authors Virginia Bianchi, Hannah Edwards, Marta Zandri note : « On the surface, these works are pleasing just to look at because of the interplay of texture and colour, but there is a deeper meaning behind the German-born artist’s modern creations. »

The exhibition was on view from 30 January - 2 March, 2019.

Annka Kultys Gallery is pleased to present the exhibition FINAL_007 (02)of seven digital paintings and a video by the German-born artist Aaron Scheer. Aaron Scheer (b. 1990 Ahlen, Germany) is a digital and print artist based in Berlin, Germany and Gothenburg, Sweden. He received a B.Sc. from Münster University of Applied Sciences, Münster, Germany in 2015 and an M.Sc. from School of Design and Crafts, Gothenburg in 2018. Scheer creates young, progressive art that exists between the poles of the analogue and the digital. He uses painting techniques to create digital works on his computer, mimicking the use of physical media through various brushes and paint effects. The central aim of his process is to find innovative ways to transfer the internet, data, documents, photos and digital information into a new form of painting. By doing so, the exploration of modern digital devices and their uses becomes his medium, all the while continuing to apply classical art techniques. 

The exhibition was on view from 30 January - 2 March, 2019 at AKG, London.
