🚨 iPhone Users Targeted by Crypto Scammers
Crypto scammers are now using the Coruna iOS exploit kit to hack iPhones and steal cryptocurrency from victims. The attack mainly targets devices that are not updated.
📱 What’s Happening? The Coruna exploit kit uses 23 different vulnerabilities to break into iPhones running iOS 13.0 to iOS 17.2.1. Hackers usually spread the attack through malicious websites or phishing links.
Once a victim clicks the link, hidden scripts check the device and trigger exploits like CVE-2024-23222, allowing attackers to install malware. This malware can steal personal data and drain crypto wallets.
Originally, Coruna was believed to be a nation-state cyber tool, but it has now leaked and is being used by cybercriminal groups for large-scale attacks.
Update your device to iOS 17.3 or later
Avoid clicking unknown or suspicious links
Enable Lockdown Mode if you handle sensitive data
⚠️ Keeping your iPhone updated is currently the best defense against these exploits.
