Openmix, The World’s Smallest DJ Mixer
Apple has created some pretty cool stuff, I must admit. Even little kids who do not have a number to call can at least use their ipods and iphones to play games. Now, in the adult world there seems to be this fine line between having fun and having something useful, especially when it comes to music mixing. There are plenty of apps that will let you mix and create music, but is this something really worth investing time and money into? If you head to a house party and your friend has a Bluetooth receiver, any person can broadcast their playlist over the air. What about if you wanted to actually mix two songs using nothing else but various phones are your decks? In theory, you already have enough devices and independent audio sources in the room, the only thing that you lack is a mixer or something of that sort to fade music from one track to another. The Openmix DJ mixer will allow this happen, but it will lack the precision of a modern mixer or even a small box mixer. The third problem to look at is that you cannot actually match the music from two devices without some sort of 3rd party software. http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2014/09/kickstarter-open-mix-worlds-smallest-dj-mixer/
