Blue Mikey Digital for iPhone & iPad
Recording audio into a smart phone or perhaps a tablet is not idea – not by any standard. Consider all the things that you are up against. Your connections will never be noise free, and you are every limited as to what you can attach to a smartphone or tablet. Of all difficulties, the power aspect is the most concerning. You might be able to attach a quality microphone to the 30-pin connector on your iPhone – but you will have no real way of powering the device on its own. To add to that problem, you will have no real way to even charge the phone while you’re at it. So right there you have conjured up some serious problems in your system. The second question you need to ask yourself is how well the quality of any sort of device can actually be. We’ve all had that bad feeling in our stomachs when we’ve purchased little attachments for your phones and wondered how well built they actually were. Are we just buying a toy? I think any smart person should expect recording on a device to be average quality at best; so save the professional recordings for your home studio. http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2013/05/review-video-blue-mikey-digital/
