I visited the @weeksvilleheritagecenter “In Pursuit of Freedom Now” exhibit curated by Monica O. Montgomery (one of my sorors 💙Eee-yip💛!). The center is celebrating its 50th anniversary with social justice programs, including the #IPOFNow exhibit. The exhibit showcased the history of Black activism and its legacy on communities like Weeksville. It served as a reminder of how far we’ve come and how far we have to go. The exhibit definitely reignited the revolutionary spirit within me and renewed my commitment to supporting Black cultural organizations and Black businesses in my community.
