VPN Tunnels on Microsoft Azure
Hello Networkers,
We released a new video update for setting up a VPN solution within Microsoft Azure.
Most environments today will host their servers within the cloud like MS Azure, but offices will still have employees at these sites. Hence, businesses need a way to have users access the servers in the cloud securely. In our current topology which we focused on for this course, we deployed a FGT and PAN FW to provide advanced security services. We can easily build VPN tunnels from those firewalls to several different locations.
But, what if you are not using a NGFW because maybe the cost are too high and the advanced services are not required. Where you can utilize the basic FW services on AZURE are good enough based on your requirements. In terms of VPN tunnels, AZURE does have basic VPN services that you can utilize for your cloud network.
And that is what we want to do in this video, so I changed our network to include a VPN gateway that exist within the Azure cloud. Almost similar to the bastion host service. This VPN gateway would connect into our DC cloud network with our existing servers.
