What Book to Movie adaptations do you feel weren't worth the hype? Maybe it's a bit of an unpopular opinion but The Shining is one for me. Don't get me wrong, I like the film a lot, but no film has scared me quite like book The Shining did. I think it was the moving Topiary animals that got me the most. The same with the weeping angels in doctor who, things moving out of your eyesight to follow you just really creeps me out! I wish they had been in the film but I don't think it would have been as scary as I imagined it to be. I'm not sure but yeah I just feel a lot of the bits that really drove suspense and scared me in the book didn't happen in the film. I know they can't perfect every movie adaptation, of course, but still. I know it's a bit silly to get excited over my own photo but I'm actually really proud of this edit. It's so me, books not being in perfect condition (sorry, not sorry) and I love how the patch fitted over the hornet, and I just think back to my quality of photos seven, eight months ago and I have really improved. I have tried. So, on a feel good note, if there is a photo you are proud of I want you to know that it is good enough to share, and I love that your photo has made you happy. I'm not a photographer, but I've always enjoyed looking at pretty photos and flatlays and wish I could take them and I feel like I'm finally getting to the stage where I really enjoy taking, setting up and editing my bookstagram photos each month. #bookreadhappyhour #bookchatwithkat #theshining #ireadhorror #bookaesthetic #bookish #horrorreads #augustreading #notthebees #bookish #bookstagram #booksbooksbooks #booklover #bookaesthetic #bibliophile #amreading #ireadya #currentlyreading https://www.instagram.com/p/CEXUOyPI6Pz/?igshid=1j9mkloemt48r
