It has a christmas theme, I hope you don’t mind, based slightly on this joke domestic Au I rambled about with Aaid at one point that just involves Niamh buying Sean embarrassing Aprons and him managing to just not look embarrassing in them. 

Niamh could have sworn that, some time after they’d just met, Sean had stated he hated christmas, remembering the sour look on his face ask he glared holes in the back of someone’s head that she couldn’t place a name to. 

So, when they moved in together 2 years into their relationship, she was surprised to find the local scrouge singing along to the radio as he put on the dinner, seemingly unaware of the redhead stood behind him.

It’s been 5 years since then, Niamh pausing as she walks in on him crooning out a rendiiton of Maria Carey, the god awful christmas apron she’d bought him last year on, as he’d forgotten to put on a shirt again, and reindeer printed underwear that she can’t recall him having ever owned before.

"Are you seriously cooking christmas dinner in your underwear?"

"Do you have to comment on everything I pick up?" She asks a little wearily, his commentry had been amusing to some degree but she just wanted to leave Boots already and eat something from the food court. "It's bad enough you just suggested getting a box of condoms for Liam and Scott."

"What? They'd use them, you can't say they'd go to waste."

"They had JLS on them."

"So?"

She can't believe they're having this conversation, picking up a shaving kit for Iain, and heading over to the payment area before pausing. "Is there anything we can get for Owen and Pat from here before we paya nd leave?"

"Condoms."

She might just buy some to strangle him if he suggests that as a gift again. Finishing up in the cosmetics store, the pair take seat on the bench opposite, bags spread out amongst their legs, taking a moment or two just to pause and think over who they still needed to buy for.

Directs @ Aaid because I went on a bit too long and here you go uwu I wanted a domesic style kinda au where Niamh and Sean were childhood sweethearts but then it soured and they arted ways and stuff because 'accidents' happen

Niamh only gives Liam a weird look when her son tells him that some weird ginger kid keeps hanging about outside the house.

He does this for three days before Niamh actually has to stop him from going outside and, as Liam so kindly phrased it, 'beating the ever loving crap out of him for being a sicko'.

For a 7 year old, he had such creative language.

It's on the fourth day, around midday, when it's just her in the house thankfully, that the 'weird, ginger kid' finally knocks on the door. Though she takes so long answering that he's about to walk away by the time she answers.

"Can I help..." She trails off as the boy turns round, freezing because he looks like...No, it wasn't either of them and she just wants this kid to go away because its making her remember things she didn't want to remember.

The kid is quiet for a long time, looking a strange mix of happy, nervous and downright terrified. "Y-yeah...umm...M-My name is Patrick McGregor and I've been told you're my birth mum."
