Atem could feel the sunlight on his face as he struggled to open his eyes. He felt pressure against his body and blinked a few times for his eyes to focus on just what or in this case who, was causing it. When he found Kaiba's eyes on his he could feel a slight heat rise to his face. He held this breath, but nothing was said. He had expected a different reaction from the man, but Atem decided to call it a win. He turned his face into the other's chest, hiding away his embarrassment.

"It seems I let you sleep too long."

Atem stopped dead in his tracks, his heart almost skipping a beat. He turned around to face the man, his eyes widened slightly as he found Kaiba's blue one. It was only for a second but Atem almost thought the other was joking. But everything Kaiba did, he did in seriousness, and he suspected that this was no different. He admired his bluntness. A small smile painted itself on Atem's face.

"I am yes, but I don't want to disturb you." he said honestly but the look on Kaiba’s face made Atem think twice about his answer. Kaiba had been honest with him just now, so Atem wanted to try and be a little bit selfish as well. 

“But if you are offering, I’d like that.” he said as he took a few steps forward, meeting Kaiba in the middle of the large room. 

“I’ll take the couch then.” he said as he placed a hand on the other's shoulder. 

“Get some sleep Kaiba.”

As much as Atem wanted to be frustrated with the other man, he knew how his brain worked. Kaiba wasn't going to give in so easily and the Pharaoh knew that. So he decided on the next best thing. A compromise. Atem sighed softly and moved back so now he was standing next to the chair that the taller man occupied. He crossed his arms, tiling his head to the side.

"Kaibacorp would run just as you command it." he joked softly before continuing with his offer.

"However if you feel that strongly about it, how about sleeping for an hour or two. Surely that wouldn't put your work back so far." A smile formed on Atem's lips, hoping that Kaiba would accept.
