“We are here to have fun!” Iris grinned before pulling James into the crowd. “You mentioned you liked the flower shop girl right? The blonde?” Iris looked over the people to see if she could spot her, but no luck. “Well, it’s a good thing you are all fresh. In case you see her.” She winked.

After Iris spent some time with Braxton, she wanted to check on James. Iris moved downstairs to the couch where she located her friend. “You look like you were shot.” She laughed softly. “Too soon?” She pulled out her bag a pillow. “I figured you should have something more comfortable.
Iris sat down on a sofa chair near the couch. “I would ask if you were okay, but I know if you were this wouldn’t be the situation. However, I’m still going to ask. How are you holding up?”

“How did I know you would be here?” Iris grinned as she sat down across from James. She placed a drink in front of him while she sipped the one she had for herself. “How have you been?”

Iris sat down at the bench next to James. “If you want a balloon animal, I can get you one.” She joked with a laugh before she nudged him. “What have you been up to lately?” She paused for a second, but not long enough for him to answer right away. “Wait, let me guess. You and Eli have been rekindling?” She laughed softly. “It just seems like I haven’t seen you around lately.”

Iris didn’t even bother knocking on the office door before she walked inside. “I know Elijah is out doing god knows what, but I brought you lunch.” She smiled brightly before she handed James the bag with a burger and fries. She sat down on the chair opposite him. “I hate how you both work too much and you forget eating.”

Iris smiled when she saw James walk up to the bar. She was leaning against it with a drink in one hand. Before she could say anything, James took her free hand and kissed it. Iris tilted her head and laughed. “Well, nice to see you too, James.” She playfully winked. “You might have town talking about us dating now that you did that.”
“ sorry i’m so hard to deal with sometimes . ”
Iris rolled her eyes. “You definitely are not.” She stated. “I’ve dealt with worse people in the world, and you are not even close.”
