Last week I got a pretty insane surprise in the form of a two page letter from my father's second cousin. This white comforter was hand made by my great-grandmother for my Granny when she got married. When I was born, my Granny asked for it to be put away and passed on to me. My Granny passed away when I was 6 years old, and it's pretty hilarious that she didn't trust any of the men in her immediate family to keep it nice, but now I've got a pristine 80 year old heirloom and for that I am very thankful!
