sweethearts sleepover masterlist
“How did you get in here?”
The words were sharp as a knife slicing through the night, coming from the most feared mafia boss in all of Brooklyn, Steve Rogers, who stared at you with unbridled rage.
You trembled in your sky-high heels, fingers clutching your coat, scared of what you had to do. But you’d been sent with a purpose, and you knew the punishment for disobeying your orders would be worse than anything Steve could do to you.
“T-Tony Stark sent me,” you said, stumbling over your words. Steve’s blue eyes flashed at his rival’s name, and it took all your courage to continue talking. “As a gesture of goodwill—I-I’m a gift, so you’re not alone on Valentine’s Day.”
With shaking fingers, you parted your coat and shrugged it off your shoulders, letting it fall to the floor. You tried to stand tall in the pure white lingerie you wore, even knowing you were at your most vulnerable in Steve Rogers’ office—his ruthless reputation matched only by your boss, Tony Stark, who controlled Manhattan.
“I’m yours.”
You were proud of yourself for getting the words out without stumbling, but the feeling was quickly extinguished when Steve stalked toward you like the predator he was.
On instinct, you backed up until your ass hit his desk, but he kept coming, planting his hands on either side of your thighs. He was caging you in between his strong arms and broad body, ducking his head so close, you could practically taste the whiskey on his breath.
“Tell me, angel,” Steve purred, his voice silky and smooth. “What did you do that was so bad Stark would throw you to the wolves?”
Your gaze flicked up, finding the anger had melted from Steve’s handsome face, and he was staring at you with naked curiosity in his eyes.
“M-my father,” you stammered, unsure why Steve was so interested in a nobody like you. “He owes Mr. Stark a lot of money.” You paused, blinking back tears as you thought of your father bruised and bloodied by Stark’s men. “M-Mr. Stark said if I did this, he’d cut my father’s debts in half.”
“Half!?”
Steve’s outburst was so sudden, you flinched, burying your face in your shoulder as you braced for a blow.
But it never came. Instead, you felt fingers gently brush your chin and tip your face up.
You blinked your eyes open to find Steve Rogers standing above you, looking like a vengeful god limned in moonlight. The roiling rage and fury in his eyes should’ve scared you, but his hand was impossibly gentle as he slowly cupped your face, thumb brushing sweetly over the apple of your cheek.
“Let me give you a better offer, angel,” Steve rumbled, his eyes darting back and forth between yours, like he was trying to read your thoughts—your very soul—through your gaze. “Be mine, and I’ll settle your father’s debts. All of them.”
“You would do that? For me?” you asked skeptically, not daring to hope for kindness from one of the most ruthless men in all of New York City.
But if you’d had any delusions that Steve Rogers was making his offer out of the kindness of his heart, he dispelled them then. The corner of his mouth quirked in a smirk, and the hand not holding your face settled possessively on your waist, squeezing you firmly.
“Make no mistake, angel, I’m a demanding man.” Steve’s voice was back to a silky purr, and it did things to your body—a shiver skating down your spine that had little to do with fear and much more to do with the warmth blooming between your thighs. “If you’re mine, then your body belongs to me, and the things I’ll do to you…”
Steve trailed off, his hand skimmed down over your waist, grabbing a fistfull of your ass and dragging your body flush against his. All your soft curves molded to the hard planes of his muscles—including the thick ridge of his cock.
You gasped, more heat building between your thighs, and you pressed your hands against Steve’s chest to brace yourself. Blinking up at the mafia boss, your lips fell open at the unrestrained lust in his eyes.
“Wh-what will you do to me?” you asked, your voice soft and breathy. Even you could hear the hint of eagerness in your words.
Steve grinned wolfishly, rocking his hips and rubbing his cock against you until you were squirming in his arms. Only then did he answer your question.
“I’ll do whatever I want, wife.”
The mafia boss punctuated his final word by lifting your thigh over his hip and pressing the hard length of his cock against the soft slit of your pussy. Pleasure burst through your body, and your head fell back as you moaned loudly.
Steve chuckled, the sound pure masculine satisfaction. “So, do we have a deal, angel?” he purred into the corner of your mouth, so close you could feel the smug smirk curving his lips.
You knew what he was doing, using your body to coerce you, but you didn’t need much convincing. Even in your short time with him, you could tell Steve was a better man than your boss, and the thought of giving yourself to him body and soul was becoming more appealing by the moment.
So you accepted his offer.
“Yes,” you cried softly, staring up into Steve’s darkened eyes and rocking your hips to meet his rocking thrusts. “I’m yours—I’m yours.”
“Good girl,” Steve growled seconds before capturing your lips in a fierce kiss, sealing the deal. He devoured your mouth, grinding his cock against your clit until you unraveled beneath him.
Once you’d recovered, he lifted you into his arms, carrying you bridal style to the sofa in his office. There, you gave yourself fully to the most feared man in Brooklyn, taking the better offer and consummating your future marriage to Steve Rogers.
thank you for reading!! comments and reblogs are greatly appreciated ♡
Summary: For the first time, you see your husband getting drunk at one of Tony's soirée. He comes to look for you.
Pairing: husband Steve Rogers x plus size female reader.
Words count: tba
Trigger warning: Steve is drunk. I think that's it.
A/N: I wanted to write a drunk Steve for a while now even if the roles could totally be reversed with the reader. I hope you will like it.
You were talking with Natasha and Maria, having a girl conversation when you feel the seat next to you drop. Before you have time to look at who it is, you feel a chin on your shoulder.
"You look really pretty tonight."
You smiled at Steve tentative of whispering.
"Thank you. You look pretty good too."
"You think so?"
You turned your head to look at your husband. You could see something different in his eyes. It was something that you never saw before.
"Of course, you are the prettiest."
He smiled, but not before, he takes some of your hair, smelling it.
"Your hair always smells like apple, but you, you smell like lemon and berries. It's like if you want me to eat you."
You laughed at the comment while Nathasha and Maria do the same. You never saw Steve drunk before. It seemed like tonight was the night.
"How much did you have to drink?"
"Not that many."
"Steve?"
You watched your husband trying to count on his fingers.
"Four or maybe five glass."
You knew that there was only one way that he could be like this. It was the effect of Thor's mead. You were not mad at it. You were happy that Steve could enjoy his night like the rest of you.
Nathasha was looking at you, a smile on her face. It was also the first time that she saw her friend not in full possession of his faculties. She could see you trying to keep Steve from touching you in inappropriate ways.
"Are you not mad that he is drunk?"
You looked at your husband. He was looking at you with dopey eyes.
"As long as he still thinks I am the prettiest and smells good, I think I should be alright."
"I don't think you have to worry about him flirting with someone else."
Steve has always been the kindest to you. Even with all the woman trying to flirt with him, he only had eyes for you. You realised it and now was secure enough to trust him with beautiful women. Tonight was the first time that you could see what his interior self was like. After all, people say that someone drunk really what they think. It seemed that your husband was just an even more loving man than when he was sober, still thinking about you.
You could feel him play with your wedding ring. He never did it before, but you did not mind. After a few minutes, he blurted out.
"You are married."
You looked curiously at him.
"Yes, I am."
You could see the hurt in his eyes. He twirled your ring a bit more.
"Does he make you happy?"
"I have never been happier in my entire life."
"Are you sure I can't change your mind? I could be a better husband than he is."
"I don't think it would be possible."
He looked like a kicked puppy.
"Are you sure?"
"Steve, look at your hand Honey."
He looked down, seeing his wedding ring. He finally realised that he was married too.
"Oh, so we are both married."
He thinks for a little bit.
"I suppose that means that we can't be together. My wife would not like it, neither does your husband. That's a shame. I am sure I could make you happier than he can."
He bits himself down.
"I shouldn't have said that. I love my wife. I married her."
You could see the wheels turn in his head. He looked at the room. He seemed to search for his wife.
"Stevie. I am your wife. We are married."
He immediately turned to you with hopping eyes.
"We are?"
"That's true. We are."
He kissed you. At first, he was shy. When he does not feel any resistance, he deepens the kiss before laying you down on the couch. You finally succeeded in breaking the kiss.
"Steve, honey, there are people."
He moved a bit from you, like if he finally realised what he was doing.
"We should go home."
You smiled. You definitely should. You knew that you would go to sleep as soon as you arrived but that was totally fine. You could feel that he would cuddle you all night.
He stood up, almost losing his balance before helping you stand up.
"I think it's time for us to leave. Have a nice evening girls"
"You too. Don't do anything that we wouldn't do."
You laughed.
"Not tonight, we won't."
The girls looked at you leaving, a bit jealous of what you had. You took your husband's hand.
On another day, you would have gone home. Tonight, you would sleep in your older bedroom at the compound. Steve followed you like a little puppy, happy to have you for himself while you say goodnight to the people that you know. He did not respond to anybody, only looking at you and pressuring you to go to bed. He was thinking about everything that he wanted to do to you.
Only a few seconds after changing his clothes and hitting bed, he already asleep. You looked at him before kissing him on the cheek.
"I hope you had a great night. I love you."
He mumbled something that you did not understand before putting you in his embrace with the impossibility to move away from him, which you did not mind, drifting into your dreams.
I saw your answer for the motocross Au, I was wondering, did Jake finally win a race? Did Lucky gave him luck?🤭
I love this Au so much but all of them are really great. I really love your writing🥰
Have a nice day ❤️
Oh, Jake. We love this man! We may just see him win a race. We also need to see him propose. He honestly would've done it the moment they met if he wouldn't have come across as crazy. 😂
It's been too long since I read something from you because I missed the beginning of your last story, and now I have a lot of chapters to read 🫣 and I miss reading your stories so much.
So, I was wondering which one shot is your favourite, and which one are you the most proud of? I will go read or read them again 🥰
Lots of hugs ❤️
Hello dear, good to hear from you 😊💚
I don't know if you read angsty obes but most of them are angsty but I'm really proud of them and they have eventual fluff
Summary: You go to the concert of Corroded Coffin not knowing that his lead singer and bassiste would recognise you.
Pairing: Rockstar Eddie Munson x female reader
Words: TBA.
Warning: None that I can think of.
A/N: I wanted to write something fluffy for Eddie for a while now. I forgot that I started this a few months ago. I hope you will like it.
It has been a very long time since you finished high school. You were coming back to your hometown to see your parents but nothing else, really. You moved on. You had a new life.
Today was not the day that you were coming back. No, you were on your way to see the famous metal band The Corroded Coffin. They became famous six years after high school and were now number one on the radio and playlists, yours too. Eddie Munson, the lead singer, was always saying that things were metal back when you were in high school which always made you smile.
You went to their concert. You always have been a huge fan, even when they were only playing in The Hideout in Hawkins. You always hoped that they would become successful, shutting up all the talk about the group and especially Eddie. Eddie Munson and his beautiful eyes. His smile was making your knees weak. He had been the sweetest to you. He was not what everybody thought he was. So, you had developed a huge crush on him that you still had despite the years of absence in each other's life.
You were waiting for the elevator to arrive when you heard a voice calling you. Your heart started bitting faster. You looked toward the voice with a big smile.
You were dancing, singing, and screaming with all the fans. You were happy that he could not see you, or at least you hoped so. You did not think that he would put your presence under light if you were there, but you could not be too careful. You always hated the public speeches or worse, he would not remember you.
"Eddie? What are you doing here?"
"We are coming back from our concert."
You could feel your cheeks redden.
"I know, I was there."
He looked to his band mates.
"I knew it. I told you it was her."
You were surprised that he recognised you. It has been years since you saw him.
"I thought you would be partying right now, meeting girls."
Eddie heard something in your voice but could not place what it was.
"We need one day of rest, and we have another show tomorrow, so... we have time to explore. It's so nice to see you."
You could see him rambling and being bouncing.
"Would you like to come to our suite for a drink? We can order room service. We can also just drink at the bar if you don't feel comfortable to come up with us."
You watched him ramble. You really appreciated the fact that he wanted you to be safe. If there is one thing that you knew about the guys, it was that they were the most gentlemen ever.
"I would love to. If that's no bother of course. You wanted to rest."
"You are never a bother. It's so nice to see you. You can tell us everything about what you are doing."
"Nothing as remotely interesant than being a rockstar."
"That's nonsense."
You had spent the rest of the evening and almost night in their suite. It felt like you were an imposter. You could have never come in by yourself.
Eddie put his arm around your shoulders, pushing the button a few more times.
You also talked about their new songs. They had an idea for one, but they were not sure that the fans would like it. It was a bit different than what they were normally making. Your enthusiasm told them that it would be a good thing to release it even if it was only for your ears.
You talked about your life, what it meant to be on tour all the time, their love life, their return to Hawkins, and how people now loved them compared to high school. People who would have never talked to them back them wanting autographs , pictures and to show off in front of their date like Jason Carter tried to. They were not really in the mood to apologise and actually cost him his date by telling them what he did during high school. She was better off, this is what they told you.
When Eddie finally realised the time, it was time to wake up for the "normies."
"I should walk you back to your room."
"It's only five floors down. I think I can manage."
You smiled. It was not like you were planning on making a detour.
"We never know. What if something happen to you between our floor and yours? I would never forgive myself."
"But you will have to walk back all by yourself."
"I can manage."
"That was my line."
"Yes, it was. How do you feel about it?"
The few seconds between his floor and yours felt too short. You did not want to end things like this. You did not want to go back to your life, but you had to. He would probably not even remember you or this night in a few weeks.
You tried to look somewhere else but you could not. His eyes always captivated you. And he gave you his wounded eyes. You could not resist. You nodded, finally agreeing with him.
You finally decided to tell him the truth. You knew that it won't change anything, but you knew Eddie. He was not looking back at Hawkins foundly, but if he knew that would be a bit different.
You looked at Eddie. He was way taller than you. You were feeling smaller but not in a bad way. He always has been such a perfect gentleman. Eddie asked you if you had someone waiting for you at home. Is someone waiting for you? You almost laughed. How would it be the case when nobody was ever interested in you? You let a silence come between you.
"You know, I had the biggest crush on you in hi school."
You saw him turned his head so fast that you were sure that he hurt himself.
"Really?"
"Of course. I loved how you did not care what people thought of you. I also know that you were a big softie even if you would have never let anybody know, but I knew. You took notes for me when I was sick, and you were never taking note. You were already such a great singer and guitarist back then. I am not surprisedof your success. I mean, I would not have gone for the hideout for anybody else. Also, I love your hair. If you cut them, I would have loved you way less."
He looked at you with soft eyes.
"How much less?"
You pretended to think.
"More than fifty per cent less."
"So, you mostly love my hair."
You smiled, tilting your head.
"Guilty?"
He laughed before being serious again. He could not stop looking into your eyes.
"You were at the hideout?"
"Every Tuesday, but I was more in the back because I did not want you to see me there. I did not want you to know I had a crush on you."
You smiled at him.
"You said that you had a crush on me. You don't anymore?"
"Oh no, no, I still do, but you are a rockstar now. I wasn't expecting you to see me in high school. I expect it even less now."
You knew that you never had a chance with Eddie. And that was fine with you. He was the exuberant donjon master, the one that had all the attention, even if it was not for the reasons that he wished. People were mean to him because of his dad, which always pained you, but compared to him, you were invisible, just living your life before leaving town.
"If I knew that before. I would have definitely made a move earlier."
"You would have made a move?"
Your voice was barely a whisper while you could only hear your heartbeat in your ears.
"Definitely. I had such a huge crush on you, too. I mean, I still have."
Eddie lined toward you to kiss you. You let him come closer to you before you put your hand om his chest.
"Come on, lover boy. You don't have to lie to me. You don't feel the same, and that's fine, I promise, but please don't pretend. It would hurt more than just having a nice evening with you."
Eddie was taking aback, hurt by your words.
"Pretend? I have loved you since the first time that I saw you. Then I notice you more and more. You always were protecting us even if we were not close to you. You were not doing it for the eyes. I just thought that you were too good for me, so I never asked. I still think that you are."
"You are a rockstar Eddie. Thousand of girls and maybe even millions would want to date you."
"And you are amazing."
"Shut up."
"You shut up."
"Make me."
He did not hesitate. He kissed you. After he felt no resistance, he pulled you closer to him. He kept you tighter, not wanting you to run away from him. When you finally broke the kiss, you looked into each other eyes.
"What just happened?"
"We kissed?"
He wondered if you were about to yell at him for that. He would not be surprised but that was not the case. You just smiled and giggled.
"It was worth the wait."
"I agree. Do you want to come in?"
"You dont even have to ask."
Your hands were shaking while you tried to open the door. He put his hands on top of yours to keep them steady. He whispered in your ears.
"It's like you are getting nervous, princess."
"Maybe."
"Don't be. I am a gentleman."
You looked at him. You knew that he was, even if that seemed like a contradiction with his look. You spend the rest of the night talking before falling asleep in each other arms. You decided that you wanted to see where it was going before being intimate. After all, you have been waiting for more than fifteen years for this moment. It was not like if you were ready to leave.
Summary: Steve watch some Youtube videos and decided to make your pregnancy easier.
Pairing: husband/super soldier Steve Rogers x Pregnant female reader
Word count: 788
Warnings: nothing that I can think of
A/N: -
Steve had read all the books that he put his hands on. He needed to know everything possible on pregnancies. He wanted to be sure that he knew what you felt and how to help you. You told him that everything would be found, but it was like he did not believe you. It was really sweet but you also knew that it was a lot for him. He was scared of all the problems that you could encounter, asking every new condition if you were genetically predisposed to it. At some point, you decided to just put all the books in the attic. You did not tell him. He was so confused when he came back and tried to find one. You promised him that you would give them back when he would have stopped worrying so much.
You heard your husband’s footsteps before seeing him. You smiled at him, happy to see his beautiful face as usual. Steve came behind you. He hugged you and kissed you on the back of your head.
"What you are doing is incredible."
You got a bit confused.
"I am just separating peas."
He hugged you a bit tighter.
"I am talking about you creating a life inside of you."
"Honey."
"It's true. It's such a miracle that you are caring for a baby. It’s growing inside of you. Your body is amazing. You are amazing."
You turned your head to kiss him softly.
"I think the most amazing thing is that I am not pregnant with five kids, with your super serum and everything. I was kind of scared that it would be a possibility."
You saw Steve’s face fall a little bit.
"You never told me that. "
"I had to hide pregnancy books from you. I was not about to make you scared to have half of a handball team."
He smiled.
"I went a bit crazy with the books didn’t I?"
You smiled. You loved his innocence.
"It’s an understatement, but I know that you just wanted to have everything covered because this is who you are."
"I am glad that you did not panic. Imagine the two of us just being scared. I promise I will do better. You need to be scared if you want to. I am the one who needs to make your life better. You are the one being pregnant."
"You are just being human, but I appreciate that you are trying. Everything is going to be fine, I promise."
You could not be sure at one hundred percent, but you were only missing six weeks. Everything went well for the moment, so you were hopeful. He kissed you again. He did not know what he did to have you. He let his arms slide under your belly. He raised it. You let a moan leave your lips.
"That feels so good."
"Yeah? You like it?"
You let your head drop on his chest.
"I love it. Can we stay like this?"
"For how long you need to."
"You should not say this, you will never move again."
He laughed. He knew that he could stay like this for a long time. The serum made him stronger. It will still feel it at some point, but not right now. If it all you needed to feel a bit of relief, he could do it.
"How did you learn about this?"
"I saw some videos on Youtube. The women seemed to love it, so I thought we could try."
"Steve Rogers watching Youtube videos. If only America new."
"Shss, it’s only between you and I. Nobody can know."
You caressed his arms.
"I love you so much. You are going to be the best dad in the entire world. "
"And you are going to be the best mom. We are a great team."
"I totally agree."
You let yourself swing in his arms. It was not that long ago that the both of you worked together. You had been an Avenger for four years before deciding with your husband to finally quit. The after Tanos had been difficult for him. You got snapped, and he had to live without you for five years. He did not think he would see you again or even be truly happy. You being here with him, joking while pregnant was all he needed. He did not have the white picket fence, but it was close. He had the house, the porch, and the wife that he always wanted. He had the swing where you were spending most of your evenings in his arms. It was all he needed; you and your baby were healthy, and for that, he would do anything to make your pregnancy easier.
Summary: Steve sees you in the compound the night of Christmas Eve. He realised that you don't have any plan for the holidays and wants you to come with him to celebrate Christmas at Sam's house.
Pairing: Avenger Steve Rogers x Avenger female reader
Word Count: 2305
Warning: None
A/N: None
You were putting the presents under the tree when you heard footsteps. You were supposed to be alone in the compound. Everybody left for the holidays. You turned your head to meet the blue eyes of Steve Rogers. You could see the sleep in it and could not stop smiling. He always looked gorgeous. It did not matter if he was when he was fresh out of the shower or just after the toll of a mission. He always had this little something that was making your heart beat faster just by looking at him.
“What are you doing?”
“Nothing, why are you up? Are you not supposed to be at Sam's?”
“I am leaving in the morning. I had a report to finish.”
You turned fully to look at him.
“Nobody is there. It could have been waiting when you were back. I am sure Fury is not waiting for it.”
“That's true, but that only means that I would have had to write it later, and the result would be the same. At least now, it's still fresh in my mind.”
“Fair enough.”
“You still did not tell me what you were doing here? Are you not supposed to be on a tropical island?”
You let a silence get between the two of you.
“You have no plan for Christmas, do you?”
You finally looked back at him again, going towards the kitchen to make you some tea.
“I don't, but that's totally fine. I am used to it.”
“I know you are lying to me.”
“How?”
“I just know. Did you not want to go somewhere?”
You took two mugs from the cupboard before turning back to him.
“You know that it's the only time of the year that the compound is entirely empty, except for the guards. So I have the full tower for myself. I can do what I want and explore.”
“That's still not a reason to be there alone.”
“Steve, I am fine, I promise.”
“Why did you not ask someone to bring you home? Anyone would have been ok with it.”
“Everybody has their thing. I don't want to be a piece that doesn't fit.”
Steve came closer to you, making you stop in your footsteps.
“You are not a piece. You are a wonderful person who should enjoy the holidays.”
“I do.”
You were categorical. You did not want to have to debate too much on this.
“You should come to Sam's with me. He would be delighted to have you.”
“You can't ask to bring someone last minute. I am fine, I promise.”
“If you don't come, I will stay here with you.”
“Steve, please, you don't have to do this. Go enjoy your very well deserved break and holidays. You need to relax. You have too much on your shoulders. My holiday plans don't fall on you.”
“I am not leaving you alone in this building.”
“I can defend myself.”
“No doubt here. But you should come.”
He took your hands in his before realising what he did and stepping back a little bit.
“Steve, please...”
“You know, when I was a child, we did not have a lot. My mom and my dad tried their best, but we had little money. During Chrismas, there was always a little something, a fruit that we will never have, a dinner full of hope. I was not expecting a present but I still loved it because I was with my family. We were together enjoying each other presence. We went to mass, we talked to people, and this is what we needed. Of course, I was more than happy when I had a present, like every child, but sometimes I did not, but the magic was still there. I remember that, and I want you to have that too.”
“That's very nice of you, but I can still not arrive like this. I am sure that everything is planned already.”
“And if you know Sam, you know that there is more than enough.”
Steve looked at you. He could see you hesitate. He took his phone out of his pocket, dialling a number before putting it on speaker.
“What are you doing?
The ring rang five times because you heard the sound of pick up. You heard the voice of someone because waking up.
“Steve man, What's going on?”
“Everything is fine. Sorry to wake you up, but would it be possible for Y/N to come spend Christmas? Her plans changed, and she will be alone?.”
“Man, it's three in the morning. Are you really calling me to know if she can come? You know that there is more than enough for ten more people.”
“I know, but she did not want to come without you knowing.”
“I appreciate it, but man, bring who you want. We will find a way. I am going back to bed.”
You finally spoke.
“Thank you Sam.”
“Of course Sweetie, bye.”
You looked at Steve with his big smile. You could see him thinking “I told you so.”
You packed enough to spend a few days in Louisiana. You knew that Steve would let you go back before he did, too. You thought that it was sad that he could not appreciate his holidays and had to bring you along like a lost puppy. Which was exactly why you did not want to tell anybody that you were planless. You knew inside of you that Sam, Bucky, and Steve would not mind you being there. You had a great relationship with them and the full team, but you still felt guilty. You tried to compensate by helping Sarah, which she appreciated, but told you to enjoy your time off. Since Sam joined the team, she knew how much you needed the rest. You still played with her children before she announced to everybody to go dress up.
You took a bit longer than what you expected. Make-up was not your thing. You wished Natasha was there to help you.You decided for something simple. Once ready, you walked slowly back to the leaving room.
“You know, you did not even have to ask for her to come. I would never say no to Y/N.”
You stopped in your footsteps.
“I know, but she really did not want to disturb.”
“That's why you call at 3am?”
“Well, she would have not bulged.”
Sam put his chest a bit forward to confess something.
“Did you tell her yet that you love her?”
“She did not want to be a burden. You know how she is.”
“That does not answer my question.”
Bucky schemed in.
“You know that he will not tell her. We still have years of pining to come.”
“Maybe we should do something.”
“She is alone for Christmas, and you want me to tell her how I feel? It took too long to convince her to come already. She might have come just because I am her superior, not even because she wanted to.”
“You know that if she did not want to be there, she would not be.”
You hesitated between wanting to know more or let yourself know. It was a private conversation, and you thought that it was best for it to stay, that was, despite wanting to know how Steve felt and desired. Did you hear correctly? Steve liked you? No, loved you? You walk a bit loudly to announce your presence and avoid the men to know that you were listening. You saw Sam's jaw dropped as soon as you met his eyes. He saw you in a lot of different clothes, tactical suits, sweatwears, jeans, flowly dresses, cocktail dresses, but this dress was splendid on you. The red colour was a beautiful contrast with your skin. It was not an over the top dress, but it was still gorgeous. Steve turned his head to look at what Sam reacted to while Bucky just looked at you speechless.
“You look beautiful.”
You looked at Steve, who seemed almost unwell.
“Steve? Are you alright?”
He took him a bit too long to realise that he was looking at you without talking.
“I am sorry. You look wonderful.”
You thanked him before going to Sarah to help her. She told you that their was nothing more to do than to wait for everything to cook. You talked a bit with her. She was exactly like you imagined it. She was fierced and strong. You felt guilty to have added another plate at the diner.
“That's nothing. There is way too much to eat, I promise.”
You looked at yourself before asking.
“Do you think this dress is too much? I mean, I thought it was ok, but now, I don't know.”
“Honey, they lost their tongues. It's the biggest compliment that you could have.”
“Exactly, maybe that's why it's too much.”
“Don't. It look sublime on you and you deserve it.”
You thanked her before taking place at the table to enjoy Christmas and the holidays for a week with the Wilsons.
You welcomed the fresh air with relief. The party inside was crowded, and you started to feel like you were about to pass out or have a panicked attaque. At this point, your chest had too much pressure to really which one it was.
You took another breath when you heard the door of the balcony open.
“Hi, I thought maybe you left.”
You saw the big stature of none other than Captain Steve Rogers next to you. You smiled at him.
“Hi, I could have, but no, not yet anyway.”
You knew that Tony would be too occupied to know if you were here are not but you decided to start here to be able to say later that yes, you were at the biggest party of the year. You might go for a few years now, but it seemed like Tony tried each passing year to bite the previous one. Which is why you always wondered what he would come up with. You started to take bets with Natasha, but none of you had won one yet.
You had been talking with Steve for the last ten minutes. He even gave you his jacket, seeing you shivering.
“Can I ask you something?”
“Sure, always.”
You turned to look at him instead of the city.
“When we were in Louisiana, I heard Sam say that you loved me. Is it true?”
Steve's cheeks became red, and you guessed that it was not from the cold.
“You heard that?”
You nodded.
“I wasn't spying, I swear, but he said that “of course, he would have never said no to me coming because of you”.”
“He also said that he liked you very much and that even if I did not like you, you would have been welcomed.”
“So you do like me?”
“I do very much, but listen, it doesn't have to be any different than what we are now. I am totally fine with that I have been for a while.”
“Why would you be fine with that?”
“Because you are you, and I am me, and I know that you like someone else.”
Your eyes grew of surprises.
“I like someone else? Who?”
“I don't know, but I heard you with Natasha a few days before Christmas. You said that you liked that man so much that you wished that you could see him all day, every day, and that you loved the way he made you smile and how much you felt safe. I mean, you know the conversation.”
“I do very much, but you don't know who I was talking about?”
“No but it's alright. You don't have to tell me. It's your personal life, I respect it.”
You smiled widely before laughing of relief. You gripped his arm while Steve looked at you, wondering what was funny.

“That's true. Everybody had plans for Christmas and you said that you would not be here. I told Natasha that I wish I could see you every day that week, and that will miss you.”

“Oh... oh...”

“So you like me too?”

“I do. I even love you.”

“I would love that very much.”

You saw him come closer. He took your face into his hands and looked at you to be sure that you really wanted it. He could see something different in your eyes like he was finally realising that it was love. His lips touched yours. You depended the kiss. After a few seconds, his hands moved to your back while you found his hair. You could feel the warmth inside of you. You broke the kiss needing air. You smiled. Both of you had a dopey expression.
“Do you want to come inside to see the others?”
“I think it can wait.”
He brought you closer to him before kissing you again. Maybe the years of pinning were finally over.
Summary: You go to your best friend wedding, learning the real reason why your ex boyfriend broke up with you.
Pairing: fiancé Steve Rogers x female reader
Word count: TBA
Warning: None
A/N: I was watching Five blind dates again, which I really love, and that I found different of this type of movies even you can imagine the end. After watching it again, I thought the reason why Rogers broke up with her could be find sweet but as I watch a second time, I feel like even if I understand why he did it, he could have told her. Anyway, this is where this is coming from.
You were at your best friend wedding. You were the maid of honour and had spent the last six months helping her. She had a wedding planner, so you were not dealing with the main things, but the side things which you loved. It was really fun.
In the last six months, you had yourself been engaged to the most beautiful, caring, and sweetest man that you ever met. Steve had been more than a dream come true. In the beginning, you could not believe that he was interested in you, but you quickly realised that it was the case. You had been dating for a bit for than three years when he finally proposed. You talked about it before, but it still felt like it was a surprised.
You were talking with Jacob, who just had married your best friend. You loved this man since you were teenagers and he started to date your best friend. He was such a perfect fit for her that you could not have been happier. You always had easy conversations with him. You were talking about your ex with whom you helped organise the presents for the people eho came.
"He always had a great eye for gifts. He always knew what to offer."
"That's true, and he always helps everybody even if it is at his detriment."
"At his detriment? He always did it because he wanted to, not because he was obligated."
"Almost."
You were not understanding. Jared always did what he wanted, never by obligation but because this is who he was. He loved helping people.
"You know that when his mom got cancer and he stayed to help her. This is just who he is."
You looked at Nick strangely. Jared never told you this. The day you were supposed to leave for the university together, he just told you that he was not coming. He did not tell you why. He just announced it as if he announced that he was going to buy some bread. It was a long time ago, but you still remember the pain that you felt, the betrayal. It took you months to trust again a man, but you decided that you would not miss your life for someone who broke up a promise with no warning.
You went outside to enjoy the breeze of the ocean, looking toward the other side of the bay, illuminated. You could not stop smiling despite what you have learned. You had made piece long time ago.
"It's a great wedding isn't it?"
You turned to look at the familiar voice.
"It is. You did great with the gifts."
"Thank you."
You let the silence take place for a little bit. You might have prepared a lot of things for the wedding together, but what you just learned made you feel different. You were not sure how to put it.
"Why did you never told me about your mom?"
Jared looked at you, unsure of what you were talking about.
"Nick told me that you stayed after high school because your mom was sick."
"I did not want you to stay and miss on opportunities. I know you would have stayed."
"You took my choice away. I could have been there to help."
"I wanted you to live the life that you imagined."
"I imagined my life with you. The rest was secondary. It was supposed to be you and I. And I love your parents. I feel bad to not have known before."
"If you stayed, you would not have your dream."
"My dream was you, us. Either you did not think that we would survive this, or you just thought that I would add too much on your shoulders while I could have help."
Jared said your name, not sure of how to answer. It did it for you to avoid waste years on a relationship that you might have hated and resent by the end.
"It doesn't matter anymore. I met the right person for me. Someone who talks to me when something is happening, when something bothers him because he wants to know what I am thinking and what we should do together. I hope you find someone with whom you will be happy. Your intentions were noble but wrong."
You went back inside, looking for Steve. He was talking with some of your friends. You were expecting him to be seated at a table. He did not know a lot of people and was mostly keeping to himself despite having been a popular man in high school and at the university. His swimming record and the fact that he was in a fraternity with his best friend for the first three years on campus made him a famous face. Not as popular as the footballers but enough for him to be looked at and thirst over.
Yourself had a huge crush on him, dreaming of him more than you should have. You did not say anything at first, then became friends when he needed help for a project for which one of your professors recommended you to him. You would learn years later that he had a crush on you as soon as he saw your smile and heard your voice. He just could not ask you out. He was afraid that you would reject him. It was only a bit more than three years ago after one of his breaks up where he doubted himself to find the one that you told him that if he could not, how could anybody could. You listed all his qualities before realising that maybe you said too much. He did not stop himself from kissing you. When you returned his kiss, he asked you if he could take you on a date. Now, the rest was history.
After spending some time with your best friend, you decided to go find Steve, who was still talking. You realised a while ago that you were feeling better when you were close to him and that he had this quality of calming you and made you relax. You stepped next to him, putting your hand on his arm. You looked at him with love.
"What are you men talking about?"
"Nothing that is for your chaste ears."
You laughed while Steve said.
"Swimming."
You nodded, knowing that he could still talk for hours of the sport. You always loved his enthusiasm.
The music changed for something a bit slower Steve asked you if you wanted to go on the dance floor and nodded, letting the other two men look for their wives.
You were against Steve chest, not saying a word, just enjoying the moment.
"Are you having a good time?"
"The best. It's so nice to see everybody again. Do you have a good time too?"
"I do. Your friends are really nice."
You kissed him while he kept you close to him. You bear your eyes in his.
"Promise me one thing."
"Sure."
"Promise me that you won't take any life decision without talking to me first."
Steve's face changed with confusion reading all over it.
"I am not sure I know what you mean."
"I want us to take decisions as a team. If you want to change your job, change state, I don't know, anything big. I mean, I won't say no to you changing job if this is what you want, but you know, just talk to me before doing it?"
"Of course. Why won't I? That would affect both of us, not just me. We are in this together. And you know that I can't lie to you nor that I would want to do that."
"That's all I needed to hear."
You kissed him again, looking at him with loving eyes. You would explain to him later why you asked him this question and he would understand why, telling you that he would never let you go without a fight.
For the moment, you were enjoying your best friend wedding. Letting yourself make new souvenirs with old and new friends.
