The Irish Alphabet:
Irish is a Gaelic/Celtic language, it shares some similarities with Scots Gaelic - but do not call it Gaelic. The Irish word for 'Irish' is - Gaeilge. And here is the Irish alphabet. A B C D E F G H I L M N O P R S T U Á - A with a 'fada' É - E with a 'fada' Í - I with a 'fada Ó - O with a fada Ú - U with a 'fada *Fada's make the sound slightly longer sounding in words. Here is a couple of simple Irish words to give you examples of what the language is like. Ainm --> name Leanbh --> baby Páiste --> child Seo --> this Póg --> kiss Dearg --> red Úll --> apple There you go! I don't know whether to post a lesson series to teach Irish like I do with Korean - if it is popular then maybe I will! Slán go fóill! Linn.
