Owlcatober Day 23 - Alternate Universe

I'm not sure if this one counts, and tbh I feel a little embarrassed posting this, but I got really inspired by RafScrap's Alice of Human Sacrifice cover that I did a little lyric re-write to suit my Pathfinder CRPG and DLC OC's (and rewriting their endings to turn more gruesome and pointless).

Irissil: Once upon a time, in a place unknown, there was a dream

Ansoc: No one knew who had dreamt the dream, but such a tiny dream it was

Katala: The tiny dream began to think, “I don’t want to disappear. How can I make people dream of me?”

Lenarius/Leonosa: The tiny dream thought and thought, and finally it came up with an idea: “I will let the people come to me, and then I will force them to create my world.”

Irissil – Jack of Spades

The first Alice was A soldier called to serve her throne Bowstring knocked she shot down all Who dared attack her home

Tearing down the battlefield with Focus and command With her on their side vic- tory was close at hand

Then Alice strayed too far Lost within the woods The Lantern King couldn’t help Doing all damage he could

When he was done with her She found the other side The centuries passed without her Her country long since died

Ansoc – King of Diamonds

The second Alice was A kind and gentle soul Called upon by his god To serve a higher goal

Wherever he went he’s always stop To lend a helping hand Bringing forth a spark of hope in- to a broken land

But such blessings didn’t Come without a cost He was given to his god So he’d never be lost

His own life to the cold It was the final price Those he helped and cherished will Forget his sacrifice

Katala – Queen of Clubs

The third Alice was known As the breaker of all chains Toppling tyrants and freeing folk Was how she made her name

When she riled the people They came to her every call She would raise a kingdom Where there’d be freedom for all

This Alice was then crowned Turned into a queen How naïve to think that she Could ever maintain her dream

Age and the status quo had Shifted her off course Once a brave strong hero Now she’s just a feeble corpse

Irissil: Find the bright forest path. That’s where the journey starts.

Ansoc: A tea party with blue roses. That’s where the forest parts.

Katala:The invite from the queen. It actually was…

All three: The trump card. The ace of hearts!

Lenarius/Leonosa – Ace of Hearts

The fourth Alice knew that he Had to be more than man The greatest mind known in the world She knew the task at hand

Promising to take her heart And turn it into stone Judging from a cold distance Perfection was then sown

The stubborn Lenarius The clever Leonosa Knew what he had to do for Cosmic balance to be saved

She would never achieve The perfection that he craved Forever tormented by what she has been deprived

🌟Irissil🌟

1. Irissil is the one character who is Katala's true opposite. Katala is bold, opinionated, temperamental, and almost incapable of being neutral on anything (why she couldn't be a druid even though she really, really wanted to). I knew early on that Katala's opposite wouldn't be some mustache-twirling uptight lawful evil dude. Instead it would be someone cautious, slow to act, and prone to taking the middle ground if at all possible, hence Irissil, the True Neutral ranger.

2. Which leads into this point. Irissil slid very nicely into the trio she had with Cephal and Maegar. She is very balanced between the two, not favoring one side over the other. Whenever Maegar or Cephal can't come together on how to proceed, Irissil is always the deciding vote. Maegar and Cephal are also known to moderate some of their opinions in order to get Irissil on their side.

2b. That being said, she has very little initiative of her own. Maegar and Cephal are the ones who come up with the ideas, and Irissil just picks the one she likes best and does her hardest to make it happen.

3. Both of Irissil's parents are half-elves from Kyonin. They live in a half-elf community not far from Greengold. Irissil spent her life patrolling the wildernesses of Kyonin, but she left when she got frustrated with constantly getting barred from areas that only full-blooded elves were allowed to go.

4. Irissil's favorite color is blue. Again opposite of Katala, who prefers red, but Irissil thinks blue just looks best on her. Plus, blue reminds her of rivers and the sky.

5. She absolutely loves cats. Show her a box of kittens, and she will absolutely melt in a fashion that is completely out of character. Maegar might or might not have used the allure of kittens to get Irissil to his side.

6. Irissil is left-handed

7. She and Maegar get married and have a ton of kids. Idk the exact number, but somewhere around 5-7

8. Not really an Irissil fact, but she and Maegar once visited his family. Maegar's mother showed Irissil a super embarrassing portrait of Maegar wearing the most ridiculous hat she has ever seen.

9. In Varnhold's Lot, Maegar is always friendly to the Baron/ess and wants friendship with them. Cephal wants to plot to murder them. While Irissil didn't want trouble with Katala or her barony, she was annoyed that Maegar gave them help during the Bloom without asking for anything in return. Irissil had more of a "wait and see and don't give or accept anything for free" attitude when it came to Katala (before Vordekai happened).

10. Also not really an Irissil fact, but besides Maegar and Cephal, Irissil also often worked with three other members of the Varnling Host: a Neutral Good half-orc fighter named Korrim, a Lawful Neutral aasimar cleric of Irori named Ironin (she was raised in a monastery; the monks weren't very imaginative), and a Chaotic Evil tiefling bard named Maali. Tragically, the three of them died at Lostlarn Keep.

So I’ve been taking a break from writing My Lovely Husband by doing some art, and I decided to put all my Pathfinder PC’s from the Owlcat games into dresses from Alice: Madness Returns

I really liked how they turned out, so I’m not sure if I should shade them or leave them flat. I’m always afraid to ruin them.

My Pathfinder OCs using this picrew. I gave each of them features of an animal I associate them with. For Katala it's a dog, Lenarius a rabbit, and Irissil a cat.
