so one of the two ppl I answer to at work (you could call them my bosses I guess?) is about to quit. today they sat me down and?? offered me the position???

I’m still not quite sure what to do about it. I actually kinda like the job I have rn, I like that it’s low effort, leaves lots of time and headspace for writing, and doesn’t have a lot responsibility. on the other hand, I am v honored they picked me, I get along with the ppl on the floor like a house on fire, and the extra money wouldn’t hurt either.

they even said I don’t have to adopt the full position, I could only take over half of it. which I’m probably going to go for.

anyway, I’m still reeling from the whole thing. I really value these ppl’s judgement, and if they say I’m capable of the job, that’s definitely a confidence boost asdfgh

One of my mother's cats might have pancreatic cancer & have to be put down. She was sort of mine when I still lived with her, and it's such shit. If we're lucky it might just be pancreatitis, apparently the vets didn't sound sure but they'll give her anti inflammatory meds and see if it does anything by tomorrow. She's been loosing weight for weeks now, at first we thought it was from changing food but it was just getting worse and the last few days she'd been getting tired, finally she stopped eating too.
