I have terrible balance so ice skating isn't my forte, where I live sometimes it gets cold enough to freeze over the small lakes and ponds, but most of the time ice skater's will just tell you to go to an ice rink

hahaha, i have terrible balance too! >< and ever since i skidded face first across 2 metres of ice i've kinda abstained from ice skating since (having a dead ankle also helps but yeahh) ^^;

idk, just seeing a lake/pond frozen over would be good enough for me :DIn Australia, I'd have to travel to the outskirts of Sydney to find any snow at all! ^^

I'm gonna go ahead and assume it's a chilly winter over there. in all honesty, i've never actually experienced proper snow (i've had half-ice frozen sleet on the blue mountains but one day I'd like to see what fluffy (?) snow is actually like!) (chucking snowballs was actually scraping off ice chips and packing together ice shards in a somewhat ball shape) ^^)

if you ever get sick of the cold (or catch a cold and get sick), maybe come over for some good ol' aussie sun (guaranteed to be here all year 'round -- except for when you least expect it then it 180's on you and starts pouring torrential rain and lightning storms before going back to chirping birds and slightly soggy trees bc australian weather is honestly bipolar) :D
