Akuroku Cosplay Story

So I run an Organization XIII Cosplay Group 

We do interactive cosplay panels at cons, usually with 6 to 10 members per panel but this time only three of us, my husband, me, and our best friend who lives in other city. I got up at 6 am to drive four hours to pick up my best friend so she could make the panel, but I’d never done a panel with so few people and was super nervous. I was really stressed about the whole thing and when my husband dropped me off at the con so I could make an earlier My Little Pony cosplay panel, it showed.

Me:  I'll only have 30 minutes between the end of my first panel and the Kingdom Hearts panel, I’ll have to change out of my Rarity cosplay and into my Roxas one, so I'll need-

Husband: I know what you'll need-

At this point I snapped at him.

Me: Can we go over it anyway! 

Husband: It's my day off, I'd rather be sleeping, and I don't want to even go to this con. If it's going to cause you so much stress I don’t think it’s worth doing the panel

Me: Maybe you don't want to be here but I do! Just drop off my stuff later and I'll go! I storm off and go to my first panel. Afterwards he comes with my Roxas cosplay, dressed in Axel and ready to do the panel. My best friend ends up unable to do the panel because  of a mix up with con management. Despite being just the two of us the panel goes great! As we make our way back to the car. Me while dressed as Roxas: Thanks for coming. I’m sorry I snapped at you and I hope you didn’t feel pressured to do this if you didn’t want to...All the same, I’m happy you came. I really couldn't have done it without you. I'd have been all alone, and I don't know what I'd have done. You really saved me. Husband while dressed as Axel: Of course, you're my partner. I'll always be there for you.
