Angels, I need to talk about this book real quick 📖

I’m an avid reader (currently have 4 books in rotation) and am always looking for something to inspire me. I’ve been a fan of Ty Hunter (@tytryone) for a loooonngg time and had the pleasure of meeting him a few years ago at a Halloween event – truly just such a warm presence and a super nice dude. So, when I found out he was writing a book, I knew I had to cop when it dropped.

Y’all I’m not lying when I tell you that it’s so, so good! I appreciate his vulnerability in telling his story of how he stepped out, not just into his fashion career, but his LIFE. He has approached everything, every obstacle, with a sense of purpose, determination and humility. I’m personally in a place now where I’m very much at a crossroads of stepping into my purpose and what that means for my life and I’ve been DEVOURING so much inspiration from this little book.

It’s captivating. It’s real. It’s TIMELY AS FUCK for me.

I strongly recommend for anybody going through a major life shift or just needs a good pick-me-up for motivation.

Angels, it’s time for a #SMVThriftedFlip! 💫

🔎 Found this beautifully embroidered cotton panel at @carolinavaluevillage for $4 and just knew it needed an upcycle — St. Mark Vintage style, of course! I’ve been OBSESSED with wrap tops and kimono style tunics for a minute and decided to combine the two.

✂️ Two simple measurements, one cut and a few stitches later and we’ve got this super dope top that fits perfect as a stand alone or layering piece.
