Trigger warnings: Child Neglect,
Sutton is the eldest daughter, of the Tinsley family. The Tinsley’s only other daughter is Paxton who is four years younger than she. From a young age, Sutton has always been forced to act and be more responsible than her age. Their father had a horrible gambling problem and their mother always was working to try to make ends meet. From a young age, Sutton played mother to her Paxton. Always making sure that she had a lunch packed for school, and clean clothes. Sutton loved her sister more than anything and would have done anything to protect her, even while keeping up her own grades and social life.
As a teen, Sutton found it much harder to balance being a mom to her sister and her social life. She gave up a lot during that time as their parents became less and less present in their life.
In Sutton’s junior year of high school she met her then-boyfriend Michael. After She, her other, and Paxton moved to Iron River. The two started out as friends, but as time grew they became closer. They started dating mid-senior year and became engaged their first year of college. Michael stayed over most nights both when they were friends and dating. Feeling the need to protect the two. This upset their father who eventually forbid Sutton to date the man let alone marry him.
Her sister was almost grown now Sutton was not able to respect her father's wishes. The man who had never once been there for her or Paxton. One late night Sutton packed up everything she owned and left with Micheal. Sutton had left a handwritten letter for her younger sister explaining everything, hoping she would get it the next morning.
Michael & Sutton married that very night in a little white chapel in their hometown of Las Vegas. Micheal suggests that they leave Vegas to stay closer to his family. A part of Sutton wanted to stay to be close to her sister just in case, but they ultimately moved to be with his family. Micheal and Sutton had a rather happy marriage. They both finished their degrees. Micheal wanted to become a doctor, they ended up moving to Atlanta, while Sutton started her career as an author. Writing had always been something she loved doing. She had left hundreds of journals when she moved.
The couple both wanted kids, but they were still in their early twenties at the time and starting their careers. Sutton got a job in Atlanta at a noteworthy publishing company while still writing on the side. She started with a book based on her life and what it was like to raise a sibling with parents who were absent. A lot of it she kept to herself as there were things not even her husband knew at that time.
In her mid-twenties, Sutton became pregnant with their daughter Eloise. Though they had not planned it this way, they were overjoyed with her being in their lives. Micheal was working more and more at the time and they became more distant. Sutton hoped that their daughter would bring them close again.
Sadly, their marriage was not able to work. Both with their own careers they agreed to stay close and co-parent Eloise.
A couple years had gone by Sutton focused on being the mother she never had to her daughter. Wanting nothing more than to give her daughter the whole world. Her career is taking off. Sutton had published the book she had been working on for over five years about her life. Doing many book tours along the way.
One of her many book tours is when she met her wife who was a photographer. They exchanged numbers and texted while away from one another. They became over time closer until she asked Sutton on a lunch date. One lunch date turned into many dates and later dating. After a year of dating the two became engaged and married.
Sutton finally felt happy with her life, she loved her wife and growing family. Her wife became pregnant with their twins two years into their marriage. Sullivan & Felicity were born at Thirty-Four weeks while her wife was away on a work trip.
The twins were born in the small town of Iron River at a wonder yet small hospital. Iron river is where Sutton had spent a couple years of her teenage life. Sutton & her wife spent months in the small town while the twins were in Nicu and fell in love with the town. They decided to build their house there as they were looking to get out of the hustle of the city and settle somewhere small.
Later that year Sutton, her wife, Eloise, and the twins moved into their dream house. Sutton works from home to take care of the kids and help her wife.
Years later they are still happily married and loving their life in Iron River.
