Last night, Alex picked me up from the airport at one in the morning. He brought a giant care package of beer, pizza, and THREE different kinds of lovely club weed. He gave me a big hug and told me how sorry he was that my trip went to shit. I might not always agree with everything he says or does, but that dude is a goddamn solid bestie. He, along with @irrumatrix talking me through the worst night and my old college friend Claudette coming out of nowhere to make the last 24 hours of the trip enjoyable with a great visit, reminded me that great friends can heal a lot of hurt.
