So I've been wondering how to casually drop you a message regarding Chicago but I have ran out of ideas. Anyway, I just read One Caress and felt the need to talk to you. I go to uni near Broadway and you're making me hungry for sticky toffee pudding. I love Andersonville and especially the coffeeshop there. But my favorite coffeeshop is Metropolis. Have you been? Also, Ann Sather is delicious. I'm not originally from Chicago so I love hearing about all the places I need to try.
That’s over on Granville, isn’t it? I have never tried it! Ann Sather is of course amazing(THOSE CINNAMON BUNS THO) but I wept when they closed the one in Andersonville a couple years back. I don’t go there nearly as much now.
Also located on Broadway (probably a little ways south, I’m guessing, from where you’re at) is the absolutely incredible Crisp, which - friend let me tell you a thing I went there last Sunday with @silhouettestudios and ate A WHOLE CHICKEN. 1/2 Seoul Sassy sauce and the other half with their excellent Crisp BBQ. Like - trust, I normally do not eat entire chickens but for that place I will make an exception. I had no regrets whatsoever.
uh let’s see what else is good to eat. Hopleaf is pretty great, their mussels for two are actually like mussels for 6, A++. A Taste of Heaven has really excellent brunch! OMG FIRST SLICE PIE. GET THEIR MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM PIE IT IS AMAZING.
gdi now I made myself hungry
By "What time is it?"
I really mean "Please tell me it's an appropriate time to mention making lunch."
I wish...
I really wish slapping sense into someone was a legit therapeutic technique because damn do some of my clients need it. Testing the patience I don't have on this Friday.

I saw this and liked it but wasn't gonna share it. And then I watched it three times. In a row. ^.^;
TGIFF y'all. sometimes I have this creepy-ass habit of letting whatever thought or emotion I'm having show on my face. I didn't even notice I was doing it this morning until a few fellow metro-goers gave me some dodgy looks. whatever, the emotions responsible for my freaky friday-morning facials were totally reasonable:
confusion: spotted-a chris daughtry look-a-like asleep on a crowded metro car...standing up. how the fuck is that possible? whether or not it was a "conscious" decision to take a nap on foot, it’s still just a bad idea, especially when there are people around like me who have the urge to push you over. I’ve been known to suffer from a bit of narcolepsy myself but at least it only shows itself at work, in bars, or at concerts/crowded public events.
worry: I ate my last box of spongebob-shaped macaroni and cheese last week...and I'm poor!!!! seriously WHAT am I supposed to eat for dinner tonight?
anticipation: I go on vacation to spain in one month, suckas! and I will frolic SO hard in the promised land (aka valencia, below)
shame: man, convincing yourself to not go to the gym is really hard...
excitement: can't wait to hit up U Street Music Hall this weekend and dance my ass, face, AND socks off OH yea
delight: I was listening to this jam on repeat for the whole metro ride. his sexy voice and smooth groove puts me at ease, enjoy :)
