climbing the mountain of despair
Don’t let them find you. Don’t be seen
stand stark in the shadows, and close your
Eyes
They’ll rush past, push past. You become an
unnoticing
One day, but not yet. A shiver will pass
over those who breathe your name. Unthinking
of
what you could have done. They think why, not
how
Climbing up, striving towards, into the wind and against the current. Clearer than the summit
high
Though you are higher. Look down on them like
ants, so small so far. And yet unlike ants
you
refuse to crush them beneath your toe. You will
sit
one day, upon your throne. As you rightly shall. Loved dearly, for you are yourself, and no one else
because obviously I write poetry in my free time like, pfft, who doesn’t??
