sorry if you already got something like this before and sorry if i get something wrong but i think it’s so funny how jungkook’s reasoning for going for eunji instead of y/n is bc she was “too closed off” but then hoseok got pretty close to asking her out?? this all could’ve been avoided if jungkook had just done the normal thing by just talking to her for a while and then making a move!! if he was patient enough to wait until her best friend was single just to get to y/n why couldn’t he have been patient enough by just starting with y/n?? idc how smart he is, a man is a man and he is an IDIOT!! like, you were her best friend’s bf and tried to get with her WHAT KIND OF LOGIC IS THAT??? OBVIOUSLY she would be weirded out by that, you’re just making things worse!! this isn’t a rant on you this is a rant on the character but i hope this makes sense lol can’t wait for the next update <3

Haha I agree, it seems pretty dumb on Jk’s part all things considered.
One of his many flaws is that his manipulative nature sort of blinds and deludes him in many ways. I think one of the main motivations for him to have schemed the way he did is to have leverage over the MC. While going about it the normal way would’ve gave him a better shot at making her fall for him, it doesn’t seem like that’s enough for someone like him. His main intention was to trap her and then make her fall for him. It sorta backwards isn’t it? But perhaps he was more intimidated by Eunji than he lets on. Maybe he wasn’t too convinced that he’d manage to make her fall for him fully enough while Eunji was still a part of her life. Or maybe he really did fuck it up for himself due to his elaborate plan. His character puts on a pretty charming & cool font but there’s moments you can see that facade crack and his more insecure emotions spill out.
It really is funny though how Hoseok did it so effortlessly 😭💀
