Simon and you being fated lovers.
So Simon has this thing - he can't have you. He tries so, so hard, but he keeps on failing. It's been so long he no longer remembers how many lives he's lived, but it's been too long already.
Something always happens - you have an accident and die, or you two fight and you pull away, refusing to see him again.
It all restarts when he goes to sleep.
Simon remembers you every time he wakes up to a new life. It's always different. Sometimes you're too old, or too young, too angry or too sad and he's just a burden. Sometimes you're both rich and famous, and sometimes you die of hunger in his arms. It doesn't matter what he does, you always slip through his fingers.
From time to time, he uses his memories to his advantage, tired of being alone and just wanting this to be over. Simon knows it won't stop until he has you, but it never works. Nothing ever works.
And Simon can't do this anymore. He pleads to however keeps forcing him to try and try to make him forget. Just one last time, no memories of you, just fate.
And so, Simon wakes up in his mother's arms as a newborn, unaware of his surroundings.
Years pass with some broken hearts and a lot of work, and when he's buying some coffee in a random city at a random café, he finally sees you. There's something familiar about you, but the thought leaves as soon as it comes, so he just walks away after paying.
And he sees you again, and again, until Simon gets tired of feeling your eyes on him. It's just weird.
Because he's not a coward, he walks towards you.
"I didn't mean to stare," you say after he confronts you, looking deeply embarrassed. "It's gonna sound really creepy, but I've been dreaming of you."
"... You're right, it is creepy."
You chuckle, a hand rubbing the back of your neck. "You asked. I'm sorry, I won't stare at you again."
Simon is about to nod and move on, but there's a feeling in his chest, and he just waves a dismissive hand, surprising himself. "It's fine. That's some serious flirting, though. How about something basic first, like coffee?"
"You're not weirded out? That's... even worse."
When you two start dating, a few months later, Simon goes to sleep, and wakes up to you next to him. And again, and again. And then when you two fight, he still wakes up next to you, love heavy in his chest. When you bring up marriage, many years in the future, Simon kisses you off your feet.
His mornings are always warm, and happy, and Simon never wakes up alone again.
