I have a horrifying feeling about the phantom rider arc in the idw comics rn (spoilers under the cut)

So like we know how the fuckin phantom rider gear that sonic has on rn is made by eggman no shit that’s obvious, and like this could just be eggman being pissed at his image being made fun off but I have a bad feeling that it’ll lead to something worse. We know idw egg man is open to doing horrific shit even if it backfires so like what if the phantom rider gear ends up controlling sonic or smth and either the others (or surge and kit) have to beat the shit of him to free him.

Maybe this can be the way to have surge and kit become villains turned heros? Idk this is probably nothin
