hm I don't know if this is overly pretentious + annoying, but the memeification of subjects once a certain level of popularity (?) is reached is always so disheartening. online humor can sometimes function as a form of anti-intellectualism which protects the wielder from having to ever seriously emotionally and/or academically engage with ideas :(
