#the fact that no one considers the fact that zoya would have clearly been separated from her suli heritage/culture#is.. annoying#a reminder that the suli people are basically.. every brown culture mushed together dkskek#they are nomadic and clearly draw from romani culture#and they’re said to have the appearance of south asians#but also have persian/arabic names#a mix of cultures which can be problematic if not handled correctly#i’ll expand on suli culture as much as i can but going back to zoya..#her father was suli and her mother is.. ‘white’#not much was said about her father other than he was handsome#im not sure where he is but he wasn’t there to stop her mother from agreeing to her marriage at the age of 9#so im assuming they separated#from living with her mother mostly and then going to os alta to train.. she’s clearly separated from her culture#blindly saying that she would proudly indulge in her suli heritage..#i mean i get the idea! and i would love for zoya to be immersed in her culture instead of feeling like she’s not apart of it#but not acknowledging her feelings of not being able to claim herself as suli.. there needs to be development in that topic#there needs to be discussions of how she feels not being able to freely surround herself with her culture without feeling like she doesn’t#belong.. i hope that makes sense#she probably doesnt know much about the culture since she wasn’t immersed in it from a young age#but that’s okay.. i have plans 😌#also zoya has never mentioned her suli father even though it’s apparant that she’s not white#nikolai never mentioned it.#anyways.. that’s all i wanted to say#not acknowledging zoya being biracial and separated from her suli heritage is not her any favors :/#doing* omg#but beside that.. ill be here to write!
