Hi same Anon here! I had a lot of fun coming up with questions, but if you don't want to do them all that's totally cool. Also I feel kinda bad now (hence the last question lmao.)

For Isaac: If you were forced to inflict pain on one person in the house, who would it be?

For Florence: Do you know what you did?

For Otis: What's a piece of information that someone used against you? Who was that person?

For Josephine: Do you think it's possible for someone to commit an act so awful they'd deserve this?

For Agnes: Would you rather go out with a vampire, werewolf, or siren? They're all nice btw, no "This is the skin of a killer, Bella!" going on.

Isaac- 10/10

She seems wildly uncomfortable with your question as soon as it’s asked. “God, do I have to answer?” She asks, the ghost of a nervous smile on her face as she bites at her nails. “Maybe… probably Oscar. I couldn’t hurt any of the rescues.”

Florence- 5/10

He’s taken aback at first, shocked that you have any idea about his past. “Y- yeah. Kinda.”He shakes, leg bumping up and down, avoiding eye contact at all costs. “I have a few memories. I really just… try not to think about it.”

Otis- 8/10

“Um,” they start, glancing at you warily, “my second owner found what I was allergic to in my records. Not deathly, but she would feed it to me. It hurt very much.” They look as if they’re about to cry.

Josephine- 6/10

“Um, well… I mean-,” you can tell she’s struggling for an answer, huddled into a ball in her seat. “Probably. Crimes against kids I think. Other than that,” she sips in a cold breath, wiggling her fingers, “no one deserves this.”

Agnes- 0/10

“This is a cool question.” She exclaims, laughing as her feet swing below her chair. “I’d say…” she thinks for a moment, “vampire! I’ve always liked stuff with those guys in ‘em. They’re pretty hot.”

If you asked her: nothing! Mira is seemingly an impenetrable fortress of ego, deterred by nothing and infinitely capable of bouncing back after things don't go her way.

If you asked someone close to her though, say, her ex husband...

Have I mentioned most of my characters make for unreliable narrators? I think now is maybe a good time to mention that.

Wesley-

“Thank you. Th- thank you.” He says, although with a practiced smile that doesn’t reach the blank look in his eye. Gracefully he slides it on, putting on a little bit of a show as he does, before patiently awaiting the medicine that he knows will come along with it.

Graham-

“Thank you! Thank you, thank you.” He doesn’t really know what it is as he’s giving repeated thanks, he just knows he must be extra grateful for what he’s given. Clumsily he puts it on - it doesn’t fit right, and he’s obviously uncomfortable. He tries his best not to let it show.

Agnes-

“Oh.” Her grip tightens around it, stiff, as she licks her lips with a wary spark. “I-,” she swallows, before doing similarly to Wesley. Her movements are sensual and trained, seeking approval in your face, but her body is trembling and her eyes are growing with moisture.

Florence-

“This… this is real fucking ugly.” He says, with a little bit of a chuckle, before noticing the disappointment in your expression. “I- I didn’t mean-,” he curls in on himself, biting at the tips of his nails. “Sorry. I’m sorry. Please. I beg forgiveness.”

Otis-

They hold it up, studying it with an empty smile. “Thank you, you are very kind.” They say, but they don’t put it on, instead hugging the pink ball of warmth to their chest.

Joey-

“Thank you very much.” She says, with a wary smile. She doesn’t seem as thankful as she sounds, but still she puts on the sweater with her arms crossed over her exposed midsection.

Edith & Oscar-

“W- wow!” Oscar exclaims, both holding up their sweaters in a sort of disbelief.

“Wonderful! Th- thank you!” Edith chimes in, her smile faltering.

Isaac-

“Damn! You think I could pull this off?” She laughs, putting the sweater up to herself, although you can clearly tell she’s not as comfortable as she’s presenting herself. “Thanks, man.”

💗 Ramble a bit about this character!

Prince/Wesley

I have way too many ideas for this guy I’m so obsessed with his situation! He really wants to see as much as he can of the world after being stuck in one room for so long, he is super fascinated by nature! Eventually he starts journaling about his life and the stuff he’s been able to do since leaving his sir :3 he really yearns to know who he was before, and would do anything to get his memories back! He has a lot of inner turmoil about loving his sir, and how he actually feels about him. He’s very shy until he breaks out of his shell, and then he has a very happy and playful personality! He has a tough time with his appearance and deciding for himself how he wants to look, which takes a while for him to get comfortable choosing clothes and styling his hair.

Mutt/Graham

I love him. So much. I don’t even know what to ramble about… I don’t want to spoil anything for him either!! He’s a hugeee softie, and tends to feel terrible about letting his emotions get to him so easily :( he doesn't often give himself the same compassion he gives others, and has a hard time loving himself. He wants to be friends with everyone at the safe house, but doesn’t think any of them would want to be friends in return! He hates being vulnerable, and hides his emotions as much as he possibly can, just like he was trained to! He’s always been very loyal to those he cares about, which was only amplified by becoming a pet! He’s extremely touch starved, and would do anything to be treated tenderly! He really refuses any memories trying to return, and that’s something very difficult for him.

Florence

He’s another great one… I especially love him because of his past! Lots of whumperflies from that one :3 When he first came to the safe house he was a lot like Prince, eager to join in but still very wary! He was dettered from having any speck of character from his old owners, but now he’s got a big personality, very humorous but kind of snarky at times. Has a load of self depreciation issues… he does not really like himself :( he’s working on it though! He often feels like if he’s not being of use, he’s automatically worthless, like a lot of domestics, so he still spends most of his days doing and begging for chores. It’s difficult for him to relax! He worries a lot about becoming who he was before being a pet.

Joey

I love her soooo much!!! She’s very quiet and pretty much likes keeping to herself (with her being a companion she definitely knows how to play up her personality and be more social) and can often get very tired of being in a house with so many people after it just being her and her lady for so long. She’s super duper besties with Florence and Otis, and would absolutely love for Agnes to come over more often! I can’t wait to eventually reveal the situation with her radio :] She’s a big reader in the safe house after relearning, her lady used to have a big library where she would read her books from.

Otis

Their ma’am was very elderly and in need of company and aid, and so Otis was bought for her by her daughter! Otis was rescued after she passed away, and taken to the safe house!! I’m still developing their personality as I write this, but I know that they are still working on a lot of stuff, and before Wesley and Graham was the newest to the shelter! They do their best to get along with everybody all of the time, and along with Florence are always itching for some kind of chore to do around the house! They are always polite and respectful, just like they were trained to be… Isaac absolutely loves when they say no to or complain about something!

Isaac

She’s trying her best!! Admittedly I sometimes worry that I make her unlikeable when I do want people to know that she really is trying to help the rescues so if anyone likes Isaac lmk… I would be very excited to hear that :] She hasn’t helped out nearly as many rescues as Edith and Oscar, so she’s still new to figuring out what works! She really wants to help out and do good in the world :3 she’s at her happiest when the rescues are at theirs, and she truly believes in every single one! She’s kind of like an older sister to all of them, very much a mom friend type. Her and Agnes tend to butt heads often, and so their relationship is a bit rocky, but they love each other to bits!!

Agnes

She is genuinely like my favorite to write I can’t wait to introduce her… her personality is inspired by a couple other characters from some other whump series here on tumblr!

She’s a very chill go with the flow kind of person, and hates any semblance of strictness or rules! She originally rescued herself from life with her mistress, and would never go back. She was at the shelter at the same time as August from my other series!!! They are fairly good friends :] she has a continuous history of losing and breaking stuff a lot, but she always keeps her most valued possessions safe. She definitely has a temper, and is fairly stubborn. She can never seem to keep a job for long, so tends to jump from one to the next. She’s still very much struggling after being in the shelter, but is still hopeful to make it out in the real world <3

Edith

Edith!!! I adore her!!! She’s very gentle, and treats ever rescue as if they were her very own kid! She used to have a very good job in IT work, before finding out more about pets and becoming more interested in pet liberation groups!! That’s actually where her and Oscar first met <33 she’s always trying her best, and tends to beat herself up about making mistakes with the rescues :( she is a very skeptical person, and does not trust people easily!! She’s always been a sort of anxious person, and was never good at making friends. Oscar is her best friend!! They love each other sooo much. She’s very good at communicating her feelings and helping other with boundaries :]

Oscar

Love him!!! He’s always been interested in pet liberation since he was in high school, and his dream for a long time was to start a safe house for them! He went to a very wealthy school which had kids who like. Actually had pets :/ he met some as a kid, and was always put off by it. His parents wanted him to go to college and be very successful, but he dropped out after realizing it just wasn’t for him! They were never supportive of his real calling, so never really talked to him after that :/ he loves Edith with his whole heart and would do absolutely anything for her or anyone else in the safe house. He keeps in touch with all of his past rescues!!

Atticus

Ohhh I hate him so much… I still need to show more about how he treats Prince and Mutt, but it’s not fun :( he’s a very put together guy who’s also great at lying! He is very intimidating, and knows well how to manipulate people. He always wanted pets since his parents had them, and eventually got his wish…

Clementine

Clementine is actually the one who helps rescue the two boxies!!! In her free time she gets really into pet liberation groups, and soon enough calls in to help Prince and Mutt saved :3 she’s always felt something was off with the whole pet thing, and after getting the job as Atticus’ maid her suspicions are set in stone.

Eloise

She is very strict with her views. She has a big judgmental side, and sees herself above a good amount of people. She’s a big rule follower and always looks for order in every situation. She takes a lot of pride in her work, and views it as her purpose! Is very critical of other people and not herself :/

Ike is just a guy who really enjoys the exhilarating thrill of tearing out his body hair like clockwork every 2-4 weeks.

nono they meant the horse is 6'10" like "He stands 20 hands, 2.75 inches at the shoulder, or 6’10 3/4”." or in other words,, hes blah blah 6'10

Ye I understood that but the person who’s hugging the horse is almost as tall as his shoulder. And the person is definitely not 6′10″, which is supposed to be the horse’s shoulder height.
