It was no secret to any of the Madrigals that Félix was an absolute sucker for a period drama - emphasis on the drama. He wasn’t a very big fan of the sopa operas or his wife’s telenovelas, but there was something about people in fancy outfits giving it the Stiff Upper Lip that hooked him every time. Since his arrival in England he had finished Downton Abbey, Poldark, Bridgerton, and The Crown, and as long as they kept making them, he would keep on watching them.
Usually, though, he didn’t watch alone. When you had as many children and nieces as he did you rarely did anything alone, in all fairness, but he wasn’t complaining. He liked having someone there to discuss all of the drama with - and Isabela was the perfect companion.
A little while ago, Félix had said that they should maybe start rewatching Downton Abbey, seeing as the new movie was coming out, and he had been very glad when Isabela had agreed. Hence why now the coffee table was covered in snacks, and the curtains were drawn even though it was still relatively light outside and Félix was shaking his head with a sigh.
“Ay, Mary is always so hard on herself.” He tutted, reaching for his coffee.
