I honestly think this fandom is dead to non existing but maybe there is someone out there who is into Brave 10. I just had the urge and need to write something You were with him from childhood to his teens. From the start of his “journey” to the end were he is now. You were with him when you made friends, laughed, cried and lost friends who were dear to you both. You overcame everything because of him. Because he was always there. To an extend. At one point, it all turned around. At one point, you weren’t as important to him anymore, then you were before. You were replaced. easily. Fast. It still hurts to think about it. It hurts to see them both. Saizou and you never really ended. But it seems, you never ever really begun. So it seems from your point of view. Seeing how he just replaced you. He didn’t talked to you, nothing. He just suddenly.....prioritized Isanami at one point and didn’t looked back at you. You sympathize with the girl. You really do. She had a hard past and a hard present. She had to overcome so many bad things as someone who lived such a sheltered life. She was kept away from the harshness of life but then everything crashed onto her at once. You can’t come to hate her, but there wasn’t a friendship between you either anymore. There never really was because all she ever really did, was hanging onto Saizou. At first, it was awkward for him. Prying her away from himself and then going over to you. Then it stopped and he just let her but ignored her. At least, he begun to like it. Like a soft-spot, only reserved for her. He forgot about you while you stood next to him all the time. While they fell in love, right before your eyes. It was when Saizou questioned you why you got so cold to him and Isanami. Why you and him fight so often. Why you were at Anas and even Hanzos side, but not his anymore. “What do you mean with ‘not on yours anymore’? Did you forget that it was you, who left me behind?” The Kirigakure Ninja looked at you questioning. Not understanding the meaning of your words. A dry laugh escaped your throat. “Right. I forgot. Your fixated on Isanami now. You don’t really pay attention to anything else anymore. But I am surprised you even noticed that I am no longer always at your side. What? Does it feel weird? Empty?” Saizou wanted to say something. Opening his mouth but you didn’t let him come to word. “It can’t be right? I mean, you have her now. Always at your side like you are Twins glued to each other. Did I ever said something about it? No. SO why is it bothering you so much that I am friendly with Hanzo?” “You know what I think of him. Even now. You should be careful.“ “Why?” “You know what he did to Isanami so-” “So what? Since then happened a lot and a lot of time has passed. Since then he helped us all. So why are you wary of him now? You didn’t say anything at the beginning?” Your voice was steady, it surprised yourself how calm your voice was. You wanted to scream at him. Strike at him. Hanzo who was a few feet away from you observed your talk. He was a Ninja so it was not hard to hear what you talk about. His usually giddy attitude wasn’t there right now. Too focused and worried about you. Since he joined you, he and you started a friendship. A bond he begun to cherish like he cherish you. He confined in you and you in him, so he knows what you’re feeling and how hard it was not punch the lights out of Saizou. Believe me, as skilled as Saizou is, you’re far from lacking. “I...Because.....I am just worried about you!” “No you’re not worried about me. Since we found Isanami you never were! You never gave me a bit of attention since then! Do you even remember what you always told me? The sweet words you whispered to me? The little smiles? Do you even remember any of the moments we had or of our feelings for each other? Because for me it doesn’t seem that way!” Your voice rose with every word you told him. Rising octaves higher and louder. Hands curled into fist so hard, your fingernails digged wounds into your skin. Saizou looked like you had slapped him across the face. Gaping at you like a fish, it was almost amusing if it weren’t so serious. “You clearly...don’t remember or it was never serious for you but now, now that I begun to cherish someone else, now you can pay attention? Now you want MY Attention suddenly? What when Isanami hears that, huh? She will cry oh so bitterly: Shaking up the world again and everyone will run to her immediately like she is the Sun everyone moves around. Do you know, how hard is was to see you two fall in love right before my eyes? How it hurt? But I kept quiet because I want you to be happy but now that I try to move on, you try to destroy it. Why, Saizou? Tell me why?!” It was hard to hold back the tears. It weren’t tears of sadness anymore, it were tears out of frustration. You try to move on. You try to cherish Hanzo, like he s´cherish you: But this is making it so hard again. “Listen...I never wanted to hurt you. I never know you felt that way. You know how important you are to me an-” “Oh? Do I? Didn’t felt that way.” “Please listen-” “Saizou!” When you speak of the devil. Isanami pounced onto Saizou. Totally obvious to the air surrounding you both. Looking with big, bright eyes at Saizou. Talking and rambling on and on about something you didn’t bother listen to. The Ninja was overwhelmed for a second. His eyes switching from Isanami to you. You just stood there, looking at him as if to say “That is what I talk about”. It seems like it Saizou realized what you talk about but it was too late. Hanzo was already at your side, wrapping his arm gently around your waist. Nuzzling his nose into your cheek before giving Saizou a warning look. Leading you away. At this moment, Saiztou realized what he did. What he lost. Everything you felt, crushed him at that moment. Isanami forgotten. He just felt guilt and sorrow creeping into his heart. He wanted to follow you and tell you how sorry he was. He wanted to make it up to you but you moved on. Like he moved on once.

Kiss it Better

Series: Brave 10

Characters: Sarutobi Sasuke, Isanami

Summary: SasuIsa. Cute morning shenanigans with Sasuke and Isanami turn disastrous

In any normal circumstance, Sasuke is out of bed not long after his eyes open, but on the mornings he finds himself beside Isanami like this? It proves much harder for him to start moving. He loves every moment spent with her of course, but he especially cherishes these. It's warm, quiet, and she's just so peaceful. These are the times when he doesn't even feel the particular need to start his day early, just content to watch over her and almost be lulled back to sleep by the sound of his partner's soft breaths beside him. He knows he should be getting up, there are important things to do after all but...just this once.

It's what he tells himself every time.

Isanami groans, signifying the end of her sleep as she sits up, stretches her arms up above her head, and heaves a yawn. Her eyes are still riddled with sleep as she begins to blink them open.

"Mnn….mornin', Sasuke,"

No response. He doesn't even stir, he's so caught up in the moment.

"Huh...? Still asleep?" She laughs ever so softly and turns a gentle gaze over onto him. "What a sleepy-head,"

He feels like he might die from his heart exploding as she reaches out and brushes some of his hair from his face.

"Thooough...shouldn't we be getting up? Saizo'll get all grouchy if we sleep in..." She huffs.

He doesn't do this normally. Out of the two of them Isanami is by far the spontaneous one but...even he's allowed to have his moments. Right? Is this really alright?

"Sa-su-ke...come on..!"

Every rise and fall of his chest remains even and his body remains limp as though he was still fast  asleep. Even as Isanami begins to shake him lightly. 

"Don't make me be the responsible one…!"

Even despite the smile threatening to force its way forward, spread across his face, and reveal that he is, in fact, only feigning to still be asleep.

"Hey, hey...! Sasuke!"

Isanami childishly pounds away at his chest now. Hard enough it should have been able to rouse him, but not enough to be anymore than a nuisance.  "Wake u~up-!" 

She flops backwards down on the bed with a huff and goes silent and still, one arm and leg thrown haphazardly over Sasuke. "There's no way you're still asleep! Even I'd be up by now, jeez...!" 

Then there's a frustrated whine, almost as though she truly has given up. "Okay...maybe I'd still be asleep. Just maybe!" He can just hear the pout in her voice. He feels bad, almost as though he's leading her on with this. But she's being almost too cute for him to handle and he can't stop now.

It's only a second after that she's back to her antics with an indignant "hmph" as she sits back up.

"Well then, Sarutobi Sasuke..." her voice lowers to a playful growl, "It seems you've withstood everything I've thrown at you...but!"

What?

"There's one thing no one has survived yet. Don't blame me for what happens." After all, he made her do this. He's brought this upon himself.

Sasuke feels her shift beside him again, leaning over, a hand pressing down next to him, and...now she's on top of him.

Now she's on top of him.

He, in the best way to phrase it, is in the process of short circuiting. What is she doing? What is he doing? He hadn't been prepared for this at all!

Isanami takes a breath, placing her hands on his sides to prepare herself, a wicked grin befitting the role she's inserted herself into spreads across her lips.

Wait…!

He really hadn't planned for this, he's frozen! Does he do something? What does he do!

"Special technique- hidden style, ninja arts: tic-ack--!!" 

His eyes clench shut and he snaps upright with a cry; a cry of protest against the onslaught on his sides he had just managed to prevent that covers the thud of Isanami hitting the ground. The initial panic is replaced by an even more intense panic when he actually notices her on her side, thrashing about while clutching her face, drowning out the dull throbbing spreading across his forehead. "I-Isanami--!"

"That hurt…! I'll be fine but I really might die…!"

She might die--!!

He's hovering over her, arms flailing in in sheer terror that she may truly die from this. There's no place to gather himself, what with the incoherent screaming flooding his head and replacing what would have been his internal monologue. 

He knows logically there's no way she'd die from something like this, it hadn't even been that hard of a collision to begin with, but the very idea that he had in fact done this to her overwhelms everything else. It's a well known fact he's never been the most rational when it comes to Isanami and this certainly is not an exception.

"I could be concussed!" She cries, quieting down and peeking through her fingers up at him. "The only way to fix that is with a kiss, isn't it?"

She could be--!

His hands drop down to his sides and the worry leaves him. His back straightens up.

She's fine. Definitely.

A frown pulls the corners of his mouth downwards. It's a failed attempt to seem upset with how worried she had gotten him and she sees right through it. "Please?"

Sasuke concedes defeat with a sigh and lets his eyes drift shut. It's those big puppy eyes. As soon as she flashes them it's over no ifs, ands, or buts. After a second he offers his hands to Isanami, helping her up onto her knees in front of him. Sasuke looks her over, brushing a few strands away before pressing his lips to her forehead.

He pulls back.

"Better?"

Isanami nods once, and leans in to sneak a quick peck upon Sasuke's cheek.

 "Better."

valentine's event, if you're accepting ships outside of kny, then sasuke/isanami laughs (and if you aren't that's okay too!). i'm starved B) the setting could either be the KNY au or just their canon au (or perhaps a postcanon au :thinking:) thank you in advanced!

I am accepting ships outside of KnY for every event unless specified otherwise, no worry! I’m not sure how to make it post-canon since Isanami is sealed away though so have just a time-unspecified canon-verse, please!

It was really just a matter of time until the two of them became a couple. Isanami was probably the last one to know she had a huge glaring crush on Sasuke but luckily even she realized it eventually. They even considered dating in secret so it wouldn’t disturb any relationships within the group but they soon found out everyone already knew anyway.

They’re the kind of couple that’s very open with their affection even in public. This especially annoys Kamanosuke but since neither of them likes him much, it doesn’t bother them in the slightest. To be fair, though, they’re not too shameless. Kissing is a big deal for them so the most they would usually do is hold hands or sit next to each other. Sometimes Sasuke would kiss her on the cheek or forehead as a charm before a mission when they would have to stay separated.

Isanami insisted they share a room now that they’re a couple. Sasuke is a little awkward about that at first but it doesn’t take him long to get used to it. He really loves to wake up every morning to see her sleeping face, a faint smile playing on her lips as the first rays of sunlight slowly fall in through the shoji doors.

Not long after they officially get together, Sasuke starts learning how to cook. Of course, this is mostly for Isanami’s sake since she eats so much but he finds himself interested as well. Also, since he is very knowledgable about nature, it’s easy for him to pick just the right combination of spices and herbs to make every meal a delight. He sometimes lets Isanami help him but she’s as clumsy in the kitchen as everywhere else.

Sasuke promised her at one point that they would get married after the warring states have calmed down some. Neither of them knew things were going to turn out the way they did, of course, but even after what happened, Sasuke is still waiting for her. Sure, he knows it’s silly and that she won’t be out for another millennium, but he carries the hope in his heart, having complete trust that one day, maybe when he’s reborn, he will meet her again and fulfill his promise to her.
