Mary x Tom Nightmare

When Tom finds her in the nursery - asleep in the room's rocking chair with one hand protectively gripping George's crib and the other holding tightly onto Sybil's hand - he thinks, for the briefest of moments, that he has never seen somebody look so peaceful.But like usual, the calm is often followed a storm and she almost instantly begins to jolt and gasp and tear her arms from the children to wrap them around her own, shaky frame.When she cries for Matthew, the tears uncontrollably streaming down her cheeks, Tom cannot help but reach for her, whispering, "You're safe, Mary, even if Matthew is not."
