Having Asthma personally, and seeing my girlfriend suffer from even worse asthma, it is extremely uplifting to see that there could be a cure to our unnecessary suffering. I have exercise induced asthma, and working out only makes it worse. By having an actual cure to this would be a life changing thing. I could run again like i used to, and would actually be able to do so without a coughing fit. I will be looking forward to the next few years when this becomes available.

This is great! I mean, after all, isn’t this what ISAT is all about? I’m proud to see such a huge car company taking the initiative and actually making strides to help combat generations of polluting. Hopefully more companies step up to the plate like this.

You know the phrase "dodging a bullet"? Forget about it. The U.S. military has designed smart bullets that follow their targets.

I’m honestly not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, this could prove to be extremely useful, but on the other it could prove to be extremely harmful as well. It’s just another example of the grey area in which science and it’s advances exist, as well as what could be should it fall into the wrong hands.

I’ve been telling some of my friends for awhile now that cereal, outside of some of its sugary goodness, is a pretty healthy meal option. Although it’s another example of a simplistic scientific study, it’s still pretty interesting to learn just how underrated cereal is when it comes to its health benefits.

A lot of our scientific efforts are focused on health and living a healthier lifestyle. What I liked so much about it was that it discussed both sides of the topic: the positive and negative effects of taking prolonged breaks from (heavy) exercise. If you’re into this kind of thing, it’s an interesting, albeit somewhat redundant, read.

Rats deserting a city before an earthquake may be the stuff of folklore, but scientists believe that animals could hold the key to a quake warning system.

In all honesty, this article kind of made me shake my head. For all of our advancement we still think ourselves “too advanced” to believe in the methods of old. Yes, animal behavior being used as a predictor of natural events is somewhat folklore, but any average Joe who’s spent enough time around animals or just casually observing them could’ve told you that animals are key signalers of events to come. Of course, just merely observing them doesn’t tell you what kind of event is about to take place, but the fact that this much time and research went into this is kind of a shame to me.
