I say we made it
I say we made it on our feet carrying packs. We made it planting trees, and loving plants.
It’s out there. She’s out there. We’re out there too.
She hasn’t a care with her hands in her hair. Her life in a curl, where she’ll go, in this world?
I say she made it on a boat, across the ocean. On her own. Not alone.
I haven’t a scare with my hands in the air. My life in a twirl, what’s my purpose in this world?
It’s out there. She’s out there. We’re out there. I’m out there too.
I say I made it. On a hill, under the stars. I made it on the road sole to soul.
It’s out there. We’re out there. She’s out there. I’m out there too.
