Sangeeta Chacko introduces ‘Descriptive NVC Linguistics’ at ISB&M, Pune

Sangeeta Chacko, Head – Corporate Communications, Percept Limited, addressed over 300 PGDM Media students at the International School of Business & Media (ISB&M), Pune, on the subject of ‘Descriptive Nonverbal Communication Linguistics’. A highly specialized and evolved subject matter studied across leading Universities across the Western hemisphere, the topic was introduced for the very first time at ISB&M to an enthralled audience in October 2017.

The in-depth 2½ hour address spanned the diverse sub-areas of NVC including Kinesics, Proxemics, Haptics, Chronemics, Locomotion, Olfactics and more. On stage descriptions, videos and demos coupled with many interesting real-time and real life case studies made for an engaged, interactive and animated discussion.

The talk also explored how students could seamlessly integrate these multiple yet subtle techniques with verbal interactions to boost their confidence, persona, presentation and other executive skill sets, time management and negotiation capabilities as they launched themselves into the competitive global workforce in the year ahead.
