💫Isekai Reincarnation Agency // IRA☁️

On average, approximately 56 million people die every year. Upon dying, a soul is reviewed by HeavenCorp to determine what afterlife they are destined for. Most of the time, they are claimed by one of the major belief systems. When a soul remains unclaimed, it gets cycled through a series of lesser agencies. One of these agencies is the Isekai Reincarnation Agency (IRA).
It is a dusty, slightly-behind-the-times office that doesn’t get that many clients on the regular (an estimated 1,000 cases are taken in each year). The IRA consists of a team of about 20 angels and 3 supervisors working with slightly dated technology. Each angel is expected to take on 50 cases a year by themselves, which is about 1 case a week. The job is fairly simple; handle the initial debrief of telling the client that they have died, find the perfect world to fit with the client, and do not interfere with the client after transplanting them into their new life.

OUR CHARACTERS:
Malachi (it/it’s) was originally a soul destined to be isekai’d into a new world. However, it was instead interested in working at the Agency itself. It originally was going to be reincarnated as a Legendary Hero named Calcifan, destined to defeat a Great Evil (it loves the classics), but after becoming a temporary consultant on a case, it was a no-brainer to bring Malachi on officially. Malachi loves the job. It works hard to make sure each case is the perfect fit, and they take on more cases than any other angel in the office; meaning it regularly clocks in overtime and has to be reminded to take breaks. It also has a nasty habit of giving client’s its summoning sigil ‘in the case of a real emergency’.

Aergia (she/her) does not have a work ethic to speak of. She only has this job as a punishment, and considering that she’s already doomed to do this for all of eternity, then why does she need to kiss up to the bosses? She does the minimum amount of work, frequently not even doing the initial death debrief and leaving her clients a little confused when they wake up in a brand new world, and is the queen of office gossip.
She doesn’t hesitate to take a break, slack off, or remind everyone that 5:00 means it is quitting time. She relishes the opportunity to drag Malachi out of the office and take it drinking with her, and she is a huge beer connoisseur.

NOTABLE ADVENTURES:
Aergia gets caught skipping the death debriefs and having to do them from memory, which turns out to be a disaster every time since she has to relearn things like “Be gentle with them, they just died.” and “Taking the time to make a connection.”
Malachi has a client that really abuses its summoning sigil, which causes hijinks since it has to hide each time it relocates the client to a new world. The client is incredibly picky and has something to complain about each adventure.
Aergia overheard gossip that someone in the agency is getting a little too chummy with a client and she spreads the rumor like wildfire. It gets way blown out of proportion and a more powerful angel from HeavenCorp has to come in and give everyone Sensitivity Training.
Malachi overworks itself and, in a fit of pure exhaustion, mixes up the worlds that two clients were supposed to be sent to. A super tough, adventure craving guy gets sent to a quiet world where he is tasked with being a small town fashion designer, and a shy but creative young girl gets sent to a Soulslike world. The entire episode is about Malachi trying to silently fix its mistake, only for it to turn out to have been for the best.
The higher ups threaten to shut down the agency since it isn’t popular enough, and everyone bands together (including, begrudgingly, Aergia) to prove that it’s more popular than ever.
