Hjarbæk Fjord og Isfugl (Alcedo atthis)

En sjælden, stille morgen ved Hjarbæk Fjord. Vandfuglene er endnu ikke trukket ud på fjorden; men raster i Kølsen-Skals Engsø, som ligger bag det sted, disse billeder er taget fra, og de mange små vige, som fjorden byder på,

Efter en tid høres det karakteristiske flugtkald fra en af stedets isfugle, og inden den forsvinder ind mellem tagrørene igen, er der lige akurat tid til at få et par snapshots af det lille blå og orange lyn i kassen.

A rare quiet morning at Hjarbæk Fjord. The waterfowl have not yet moved out onto the fjord but are resting in Kølsen-Skals Engsø behind the spot from where these photos were taken or in the many coves around the fjord.

After a while, the characteristic flight call of one of the local kingfishers is heard. And before the bird disappears between the reeds again, there is just time to bag a couple of snapshots of the small blue and orange flash.
